I think these guys are being brought up at just right speed. True, before coming in with Orton these guys had some insane momentum going for them and they were doing a great job as a heel tag team.
HOWEVER... the tag division as of right now is virtually non existant. The tag titles are currently seen more on Smackdown and ECW than they are on RAW. While they may come off as Orton's lackey's....that's exactlly what they are supposed to be. Do you really think that right now they would be involved in the main event storyline for Mania had they not been aligned with Orton? I'm sure once this HHH/Orton feud dies down and the tag titles are unified we'll see them branch out on their own a little bit.
Besides, we all know it's only a matter of time before they pull the trigger and realize that Orton is just using them and blah blah blah. Let's be honest, Legacy looks pretty dominant right now but they sure as hell are not Evolution.
As trivial as it seems I kinda go back to the fact that these guys don't even have a group entrance theme. I know it seems odd, but it does say a lot for the longevity of the stable.
Orton and Batista while in Evolution did have a bit more stand out personalities than Cody and Ted do. It's still so early in their development though and there is plenty of time for that. Besides, I really think Evolution was a different type of stable than Legacy. It seems Orton is more trying to mold Cody and Ted in his image, where as Evolution seemed intent on having the best of all worlds.... HHH was the brains, Batista the brawn, Flair the experience and Orton was the young prodigy.
