That’s the problem. You can’t elevate somebody if you don’t give them a chance. And there’s no better way than an organic story baked right in. Not just from one year, but now two years in a row having an organic story that they can capitalize on. She doesn’t even have to win. It’s not like they’re running out of time. The match with Bianca would still be there for the year after.

Yeah. It’s all gamble. It’s a miracle looking back and realizing Roman went 1300+ days as champion and one bad day could have ended anyone getting the rub of ending it.

it honestly is and I guess some of that was due to his illness and ppl just got used to seeing him on and off. and even then, he could have got hurt off a random ass suplex, you never know.

same thing with Punk in AEW, missed out on a bunch of matches due to all the time off and then it was over.

And with Rhea I feel like yeah they left alone on the bone with the title reign, winning and beating Becky p much the only 2 memorable moments. she defended on home turf in a match she was never losin, which is cool for her . and the the match with Vega was cool but again, not really competitive.
