Rey Mysterio contract update

Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net is reporting that Rey Mysterio and WWE are still in somewhat of a stalemate regarding contract negotiations. Rey's deal is set to expire in the Spring of 2009, and up until a few weeks ago it appeared that a new deal would be signed rather quickly. However, due to issues like merchandising and contract length, there appears to be a delay in what would otherwise be an immediate re-signing. WWE wants Rey to sign a 5 year deal with the company, whereas Rey only wants to sign a 3 year deal. More on this story as it unfolds.

Seriously? If anyone, Rey Mysterio is one of the few guys WWE lets him do the most. The things he doesn't do, imo, is because he can't do it anymore.

I hate this kind of posts. It's one thing to don't like a wrestler, and hope he doesn't get pushed, but to say you want someone like Rey Mysterio out. He sells like nobody, is really, really over and is one of the most important reasons hispanic people watch the show, and you want him out of the WWE because YOU find him boring?

Tell that to the San Diego audiences that always fill up the arenas when Rey is on the card. Or tell that to the thousands of kids wearing Rey's masks at shows.
