Well I just watched this match today (more on that later) and I have to say I'm suprised how dare I say happy I am to say that Rey is the new champ. (if you know my history at all I hate the guy) But I can give credit where due and I think Mysterio being champ is actually a good thing for him and the show.

I can't deny Rey has been working hard, and the show needed a big name to get behind let alone fill the top face spot with Cena gone, this also propels Del Rio further into the upper Heel spot with his hilarious antics with cashing in the MITB and then snatching it away and pretending he didn't.

The match itself was worthy of being the opener of the show, I didn't think it was that great, they just didn't seem to have much chemistry but it was a decent match not something I would care about watching again. I recorded the show last night on account of preoccupation hence why I watched it today, I haven't finished the rest of the show so minimal spoilers would be appreciated.

How do you feel about Rey as the new Champ? (unless he loses it the same night because I only watched that match and went to work, but I don't see that being very likely.)

EDIT: Upon further review, I look like a total a-hole, and JR on commentary, Morrison being back, and HHH causing trouble are the only reasons I see coming back to RAW.

Seriously Cena again? This is getting ridiculous, and completely buried any steam that Punk angle had going for it.

Exactly. It kills the steam it had going Bully because it completely ignored that it happened. They reinstate Cena AND give him the belt back, also stiffing Rey Mysterio in the process.

They gave Cena the belt to set up Punk vs. Cena for Summerslam with both thinking they're the real champs. Did you not see the end of raw?

I know the booking hurt Rey and even Alberto to an extent, but it was a damn good Raw. Two matches that are at least **1/2 on one episode of Raw is a sure fire hit with me.
