JANUARY 19TH 2009 :: REV THEORY TO ROCK "MONDAY NIGHT RAW"
We're super excited to announce that we've been tapped to play WWE "Monday Night Raw" on Monday, January 26th in Cleveland, Ohio! We’ll be performing Randy Orton’s theme song, "Voices", a song which features Rich on vocals, and also happens to be WWE's biggest theme at the moment. In addition, WWE "The Music" compilation CD, which features "Voices", drops the following day - Tuesday, Jan 27th. "Monday Night Raw" airs on the USA Network and is cable TV's most watched program, so please be sure to tune in!!

Looks like Randy Orton will indeed be your 2009 Royal Rumble winner. I mean, why else would a band play a live version of your entrance theme unless it is a big moment.

I would rather have them save stuff like this for Mania though. Its always badass when wrestlers come out to live versions of their theme.

A little of topic, WWE totally ruined Priceless's theme song.

Anyways, yeah, I agree, if it isnt because something big is happening for Orton then Rev Theory wouldnt be there live.

Hmm. Could be a hint towards the Rumble winner. But more likely, I think it's because the WWE's new CD is out soon with - you guessed it - 'Voices' on the tracklist.

Well you could look at this two ways. It could be that Orton will win the Rumble, But WWE's newest music CD comes out the following day, and this could be a way of promoting the CD. They did say "Voices" was the hottest theme out right now so it could be of promoting means. But I still think this could very well mean that Orton wins the Rumble.

Yuck. Rev Theory is anything but Metal. They're Billboard "Butt Rock", nothing else. Pretending to be "metal" doesn't make you metal at all.

Good to know I'll have a second segment for a piss break. The first being whatever Divas match is on.

How the hell does Rev Theory playing Voices on Raw hint that Orton will win the Rumble? I could understand if they played it at the Rumble. Obviously they're trying to promote WWE's new city.

If anything, I see the Mcmahons screwing Orton out of a Rumble win. It'll be The Legacy vs. Mcmahons and friends at WrestleMania XXV imo.

Like 1chiban said, could be a hint, but it's also hard to tell, because there are alot of other potential winners lined up.
The one thing that sticks out to me though, is that if Orton doesn't win the Rumble, he would most likely be in some sort of storyline where he is angry and pissed off the next night, which wouldn't suit a guest appearance by a band, so that does lean towards him winning the Rumble.
I guess we'll see though.

I was thinking the same thing, I hope so. Orton has to win the rumble and beat Cena at wrestlemania.

Nah - this doesn't hint Orton will be winning the Royal Rumble (although I still tip him to win), only that Orton will not be fired on Sunday.

No coincidence that Volume 9 of WWE The Music is being released the next day and the opening track is Voices, performed by Rich Luzzi of Rev Theory? Concur with 1chiban, JB and Stinger.

People say it doesn't hint but I think it kinda does. If it was just to advertise the CD they probably would have announced it this week instead it's kept on the dl if I'm not wrong.

But why would a band come play live if Orton didn't win. If he doesn't win and comes out the next night to a live band playing its just stupid.

I realize the CD is coming out, but it would just be out of place if Orton came out to a live band all pissed off.

Live bands playing your theme music screams heel extravagance. Its kind of hard to be in an arrogant and celebratory mood when you just lost a huge match.

Further food for thought...

If this was a specifically Orton-orientated appearance (rather than to promo the CD) then would't you think they'd save it for WM?

I think they're going for a mix of both here. The promotion seems obvious, but CM brought up a great point above.

Voices is an epic song too, so I wanna hear what it sounds like live (through my TV >_>). :y:

One thing I notice is that whenever WWE has bands perform they're obviously not sorting out the stage monitoring properly....

Can you say d--e--l--a--y p--r--o--b--l--e--m?

(Either that or they're all shit bands who can't play live! LOL)
