The only old system I had die on me was the PS1 mostly because my mod chip fried it. Got a less powerful chip and a second ps from the pawn shop, and it still works and plays foreign games which was a must when I was young as that was the Toonami age and all the animus had games, just not English and for America

I played the Sega CD... it wasn't terrible. I mean the load times were horrendous but other than that it wasn't too terrible. Also played the 32X and... eh.

Sega... Sega's problem was that it was too advanced. It was ahead of its time. They brought the CD stuff out before anybody. Sega Saturn was ahead of its time then you had folks trying to catch up. Then the Dreamcast was way ahead of everybody to the point that customers didn't know what much to do with it cause it was too advanced for most. If Sega were to have slowed down a lil... they could probably still be around.

But as far as retro... for some reason I cannot get enough of Super Mario World. That game is just all around fun. Completing all 96 stages... I felt accomplished.

Yeah Sonic games where fan, but Mario games where just way more fun. Honestly they haven't made a good Sonic game since Genesis and Mario has had classics across multiple Nintendo gens.

I may be the only one here that thinks this but I'm a bigger fan of Sonic than Mario. I always thought that the characters, the levels, the boss fights and the layout of the game was much better. I'd take Knuckles, Tails and Sonic over Mario, Luigi and Peach anyday of the week. I kind of want to see a game for Sonic like one of the Mario Parties, they were fun so I would like to see how well they could do on a Sonic the Hedgehog game like that. Oh, another good one for both of these games is Mario vs Sonic at the Olympic Games, it's fun but don't play it for too long or it will get boring really quick.

I've just never saw for the love of Sonic, games where fun in the 16 bit error, but that was pretty much in. Sonic games sucked once Mario 64 set the bar for platforming games.

Yea Slim I agree, just played SMW the other day and started up another run through. It's a lot easier than it used to be seeing as I played through it a 100 times. But I remember how awesome it was finding all the secret levels and getting to "Special World".

Sega CD was fucking terrible lmfao

Jesus Christ that system sucked. It sucked in literally every way a system can suck. Only really 1 good game in its small ass library (Sonic CD), unbearably long loading times, games that were waaaay too over saturated with video cut scenes with terrible quality, you couldn't even play the damn thing without a Sega Genesis. Not to mention all those AC adaptors.... god almighty the AC adaptors.

Making me glad I never had it  Just sounds like while they were ahead of their time they weren't ready to be that far ahead. One thing that Sega did though that still hasn't been done is the lock on tech deal they did with Sonic and Knuckles.

Sonic and Knuckles with Sonic 2 was my FAVE combo. Knuckles in Sonic 2 was just awesome. I dunno why in the world it was... but it was. It was just too good.

Oh yeah and making it to special world in Super Mario World was the goods... but mannn that junk is still kinda hard to beat :p That and the Valley Fortress. Really really hate that stage :p

I once used it with a basketball game before so you had Sonic and Knuckles playing basketball, lol. Was pretty awesome and still surprised the idea was never expanded on

If Sega released a new game system this coming year I'd buy it before the Xbox or Wii, not PS but still

I wasn't aware that worked with any other game besides Sonic 2 and 3. I plugged every game I had into it and all I got was some error screen with Robotnik telling me it didn't work.

Still to this day one of m favorite sports games ever. Remember being 10-12 years old and having my mom drive me to 10 different stores trying to find this game. Back in the early 90's was actually hard to find new hot games when they came out. NBA TE edition was fun also because of the updated rosters but the original was the best.

NBA 95 is still to date the only basketball game I ever owned.

Used to love giving the ball to Rodman deliberately and scoring 80 points with him. Just because I liked Rodman.
