I'm not really enjoying it a couple of episodes in. Like I expected, Lance Reddick is one of the best parts but I don't think it's enough to carry it. I'm not really vibing with the characters so far or care about their story. I'll probably finish it to see if it gets better, but at the moment I'm pretty doubtful it will and I can't say I really recommend it

You rarely dislike anything you watch (we have a word for this in French but I'm not sure in English, easy audience maybe?) so if you are not enjoying this, it must be really bad.

Just started it and it's already pissing me off because the zombies are running.

Ugh a Billie Eilish song and a giant caterpillar, REALLY? Not even sure I'm going to finish that pilot

I can't believe I'm three episodes in. This is so bad, there are maybe one or two things that are well-made and that's it. Wesker's keeps getting angry at the umbrella CEO because she's going to endanger millions of people yet the guy wanted to trigger a mass extinction of the human race.

I don't absolutely hate it, it's not good but I've seen worse zombie related stuff. But I don't care for it being tied to resident evil. It's funny out of all the resident evil labeled stuff there's really only 1 or 2 that's actually true to the story in the games.

I’m not too familiar with the source material so I’m not as hard on it as most. It wasn’t good; it wasn’t bad. It was just…there. The plot felt uninspired and there were too many moving parts IMO

I'm in the same boat. I know like the bare minimum of maybe the first two games. I got two episode 4 or 5 saw all the bad reviews and decided it wasn't good enough to continue a one season show. I don't see it getting picked up again.

The villain is really easy to hate, gotta give the show credit. Not that she's well written or anything, the actress is just exceptionally irritating.

But I have to say the worst part of the show for me is the soundtrack.

So something kind of cool finally happened in the last episode. Although it looked more like a scene out of Rampage with Dwayne Johnson than Resident Evil but I'm nitpicking. This entire season was insufferable. There were only eight episodes and it took me more than a week to watch it, something usually inconceivable given how fast I watch series.
I do hope they won't make a second season because I would take it as a personal offense given how much I love the games.

They were more interested in pushing an agenda than making a faithful adaptation, and we shouldn't be surprised at this point.
