Even though Capcom is under a lot of fire right now due to the on-disc DLC fiasco, they're still trucking on ahead the way a business should, continuing to aim to provide a service and please its customers.
The company has announced that they will be re-releasing two of their more popular Resident Evil titles in a new HD collection for the PS3 this June via the Sony Entertainment Network, and then later in the year at retail outlets.
The basic description of the HD collection is as follows...
Remastered for the PlayStation 3 system with stunning HD graphics and featuring PlayStation Move compatibility, Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection will offer gamers the chance to relive the Resident Evil story so far. The intense shooter gameplay from both titles is back as players attempt to survive the horror alone or with a friend in co-op mode, earning trophies as they go. PlayStation Move technology brings the action to life, with the player using the motion controller as their weapon
Originally, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles was an exclusive title for the Nintendo Wii. Gamers who don't own a Wii or weren't fond of the game not being in HD, can now experience the Umbrella Chronicles and the Darkside Chronicles in a dual budget-priced digital pack for the PlayStation 3. Also, if you're not fond of downloading games and taking up precious bandwidth, you can look for the game to release on store shelves at a retailer near you. Don't be surprised if another HD collection surfaces for the Xbox 360 with Kinect support.
