Wrestling Observer Newsletter said:
As seen Monday on Raw, WWE overhauled its plans for Survivor Series on November 18, 2012.

On the show, Vince McMahon mandated that CM Punk will defend his WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Ryback and John Cena at the pay-per-view event. With this turn of events, Team Punk is now known as Team Ziggler, while Team Foley has an empty fifth slot. Prior to the change, The Miz quit the group in protest of Punk's leadership, and was replaced by Wade Barrett after Paul Heyman aggressively sought him.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE changed their plans for multiple reasons. Among them was the belief that the originally scheduled main event, Team Punk vs. Team Foley in Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match, would draw dismal pay-per-view buy numbers. With rare exceptions, tag team matches as main events are generally mediocre earners on pay-per-view. The entire Bragging Rights concept was dropped for that very reason.

What also swayed plans for Survivor Series were the pay-per-view buy figures for Hell in a Cell on DirecTV being "surprisingly strong." Privately, McMahon credited Ryback for the result and felt placing him in a ten-man tag team match, even though he would likely be left standing, would not be beneficial to him. McMahon feels they need to capitalize on Ryback's momentum, which would require the muscle-bound grappler to challenge for the WWE Championship in the main event.
Tag team main event matches don't draw PPV buys...lets make it anyway and switch it all around a week later? :adr:

And let's put Wigger Jorts back in the main event AGAIN.

God, i wish it were 2011 and we still had people booing Cena out of every single big-market arena.

Someone has a lot of hate for Cena look I don't like Cena either but its not like he's in the title match all the time and he and Punk are putting over Ryback quite well.

I haven't been watching RAW but it sounds like they made the right change. Punk vs. Foley in a trad. sseries match didn't really interest me knowing that Ryback was going to be the sole survivor most likely.

Crazy thing is in this match John Cena is likely the third wheel, Punk will pin Cena so Ryback doesn't look weak. Normally triple threat matches featuring Cena ala Punk-Cena-Show, the other guy is only in the match so the heel Champion can retain the title without making Cena look bad. WWE are actually using Cena to put someone else over...2012 must be the end of the world.

When I think of the PPV Survivor Series, I think of that classic 5 on 5 tag team match. Shame it won't be the main event.

I'm not surprised the dirt sheets jumped on this but it does just seem like WWE just improvised knowing their roster and their next card. Hell if WWE was so up in arms they wouldn't have just let Miz start the show quitting the group on the top of this.

I like this line of thinking. I do hope you're right.

I'm pessimistic, but I'm thinking it'll be the usual beatdown on Wigger Jorts for 15 minutes and then 5 moves of doom no-selling comeback routine for the AA and pin.

Wigger is a racial slur.

But like all racial slurs directed towards white people, its lame and nobody cares.

And yet if a white guy said a slur it isn't?

Hypocrisy is a bitter pill my friend.

Im just saying, generally racial slurs about minorities inspire alot of anger, but someone calling me a cracker honestly means nothing.
