Renee Young is leaving WWE

WWE broadcast personality Renee Young is leaving World Wrestling Entertainment, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources. We are told Young gave the company notice a week ago that she intends to exit. There is no word when her final date with the company is yet.

Young (real name Renee Good), 32, has been with WWE since 2012, having been hired after working for Canada's Score Television Network.

As of this writing, WWE has not returned a request for comment.

Over the course of her time with the company, Young has worked as a commentator and backstage interviewed, has hosted a ton of PPV and TV-related programming including FS1's WWE Backstage, was a cast member for a season on Total Divas and had her own WWE Network series Unfiltered with Renee Young. Young became the first woman to become a full-time announcer for the Monday Night Raw brand in August 2018 before shifting to Smackdown as a "special contributor" in October 2019.

Young's work has beene extremely popular with fans and there had been talk over the length of her WWE tenure that her work was attracting the attention of a number of other broadcast entities.

Young is married to current AEW Champion Jon Moxley, who she met while both were working for WWE.

There is no word yet on what her next move may be.

Sad to see her go but good for her. I can see her getting a cooking show since she already has a cook book in the works.

I have a feeling she just wants to focus on her cooking venture; and for that I can’t blame her. She wasn’t THAT good of a commentator(although she was excellent at everything else she did for the company) but it just sounds like she has a new focus. I wish her the best

Yeah, I've always been a Renee fan her bad commentary run aside (was fine on NXT without as much yelling though)

Probably has a good bit to do with Moxley not being in the company anymore, but honestly doubt she goes to AEW bc she can probably spend all the time she wants with him now without it. Might change once a real travel schedule starts back up but who knows

She's had a really good run there. The timing seems right. I wish her nothing but the best. Can see her getting a future gig in wrestling should she want it.

I second that request Dale. Hey now Renee vs Beth on Commentary it's no challenge Renee blows her away. She is a very funny and intelligent lady she'll have a new job just like that. I kinda want her AEW bound so she can rock that Jean Jacket with Moxley's face on the back during a big Match Entrance.

I'm going to miss seeing her in the company. Yeah, she was not a good commentator but she was good at being a backstage interviewer and the thing she did with WWE Backstage. I wish her good luck in her cooking thing and other projects that she might be wanting to get into.

Her commentary was average at best but I have always had a fondness for her. I'm sure she'll succeed at whatever she chooses to do next. She already has a solid resume.

Maybe if WWE kept Talkin' Smack around with her as a host, she may have been more inclined to stay.
