Depending on how long he's out for, this could be a blessing in disguise. His feud with The Authority is stale and they aren't really doing the most exciting job of building up anticipation for Reigns vs Triple H. Sure, he's running through all of The Authority's henchmen, but he and Hunter aren't exactly cutting promos on one another with Reigns promising that once he gets through with all of his muscle, he's coming for HHH. So taking some time off could make the rivalry feel fresh again. If it's a 4-12 week recovery period, then he could return right around the Royal Rumble and either win the Rumble match or get screwed out of a victory to set up a match with Triple H (non-title, obviously) at Wrestlemania, and then be booked to win the championship later.

It has to happen, I mean they finished filming his scenes for 'Lockdown' a good 3 days ahead of schedule as opposed to the original thought that they may not even finish until later this evening or tomorrow morning.. With Reigns out they can't leave Rollins with nothing to do, he's probably going to attempt to cash in or something and then Ambrose will return.. Or he'll help Randy via distraction on Y2J.

While the 'E does like 'chapping the cat in the ass' like you've just mentioned, DBry's return won't be overshadowed. At least I would like to think so.

For all I know... Bryan > Reigns all the way and the YES movement, imo, is far bigger than Reigns'. The place will explode once Bryan's back.

I'd rather have Bryan win the Rumble next year (like he should've last year) than Reigns. But, I guess time will only tell...
