The WWE has had many angles with refs. I remember one where they threatened to go on strike I don't remember if they did but seeing as how we seem to have one emerging what are your faves?

Also found a funny tidbit on wikipedia when trying to figure out which angle im remembering

"Normally referees will be no more than six feet tall, weigh no more than 180lbs and may generally display a non-athletic physique, examples of this are World Wrestling Entertainment referees Mike Chioda and Charles Robinson."

The refs actually did go on strike, and a PPV (don't remember which one) was officiated with "replacement refs." Was pretty funny stuff with Earl Hebner as the main guy that caused the strike because he was tired of Triple H attacking him.

I remembered HHH attacking him. I didn't get to watch PPVs as often back in those days which is probably why I forgot the replacement refs.

Also liked the Tim White bar angles at the Friendly Tap

Basically anything where the ref goes all Earl Hebner and beats the shit out of everybody. Seriously, I love it when the ref goes apeshit and fights back.

But that's happened like twice, ever and never really turned into much of an angle, more so just a moment in the match.

I remember an angle like it, forget which company or when. But the ref would team up with a faction to face the other faction. Short term wrestling memory ftl.

I forgot about this. When I was a kid watching Patrick's little heel run I hated him on the level of Shane and Booker T because of how he affected the match outcomes.

Anyone remember Patrick reffing that whole PPV in '97? It was nWo branded and since he was the only nWo referee, he did the whole event.

Probably the ref strike angle would be mine. Nick Patrick annoyed the fuck out of me which was the point but wasn't my favorite.

Only time i remember the refs going on strike was for the HHH/Nash angle in 2003, i think it was the HIAC match and they brought in Foley.

C'mon, you watched a lot of 2000 shows this year, it was sometime halfway through the year. I guess you didn't get that far.
