Being a fantasy booking aficionado, I've decided to take the colossal task to rebook WWF/WWE PPVs and special events from 1985 to the present day. I will only stick to PPVs but I will include off-screen title changes when necessary and put context into the build-up leading to said cards. So let's get started!



WWF WrestleMania I

Date: March 31, 1985

Location: Madison Square Garden, New York City



Main Event:

Hulk Hogan & Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper & Paul Orndorff




A high-profile tag team match featuring Hollywood legend Mr. T teaming with WWF Champion Hulk Hogan to take on the villainous duo of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff.

Saturday Night Main Event 1 – May 11th, 1985



Location: Nassau Veterans Coliseum, Uniondale, NY



Attendance: 19,200 fans


A very unusual set of circumstances takes place as Hulk Hogan defends his WWF Championship on Wrestling Challenge against The Iron Sheik & "Classy" Freddie Blassie in a Handicap Match. With interference from multiple heels, including Nikolai Volkoff and Big John Studd, the unthinkable happens and Blassie pins Hogan! However, when Big John Studd requests 1 week later for Blassie to hand him over the title, the Classy One refuses, leading to Studd, Sheik & Volkoff threatening Blassie until "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka makes the save. This sets up the main event of this inaugural SNME. Elsewhere; Hogan teams up with Randy Savage to take on Greg Valentine & Roddy Piper; the Sheik pulls double duty as he also wrestle The Junkyard Dog in the opening match; Brutus Beefcake squares off with Adrian Adonis

Opening Segment:

Host: Vince McMahon and Gorilla Monsoon welcome viewers, hyping tonight’s big matches and surprises. They tease a special main event featuring Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

Date: October 5th, 1985

Location: Brendan Byrne Arena, East Rutherford, NJ

Big John Studd finally gets what he wants in the month of June when he pins Freddie Blassie in a "match" to get the WWF Championship. Andre the Giant doesn't take too kindly to Studd's latest stunt and challenges Studd to a match at SNME II for the WWF Championship in the main event. Randy Savage defeats Ricky Steamboat in June to win the Intercontinental title and defends against Greg "The Hammer" Valentine in his first title defense. Elsewhere, The British Bulldogs battle the Fabulous Rougeaus; Hulk Hogan takes on the Iron Sheik; "Rowdy" Roddy Piper takes on his former friend Paul Orndorff, now under the guidance of Bobby Heenan.

Hulk Hogan finally gets retribution on Big John Studd in mid-October by regaining the WWF Championship and his first title defense is gonna be against his nemesis "Rowdy" Roddy Piper inside a steel cage! Elsewhere The British Bulldogs battle The Dream Team; former IC Champ Ricky Steamboat takes on The Iron Sheik; Piper pulls double duty before his Cage match as he takes on Tito Santana right before the main event!

Opening Segment:

Vince McMahon and Lord Alfred Hayes welcome viewers, hyping tonight’s main event: Hulk Hogan vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in a steel cage match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. The crowd is electric, with chants of "Hogan! Hogan!"
