Rebellion [Impact Wrestling] - April Event #6
Rebellion had a total of eight matches booked, with the expectation that it would be the final event in this month's edition of the WPC Grand Prix 2021 (as long as their is no tie in the overall standing for first position). The night would prove to be a tricky affair with a only two predictions actually posting a score with a positive differential. Before we continue everyone is reminded the rule of the WPC Grand Prix Event Championship:
- everyone is eligible to win the belt - irrespective of how many times they have taken part in the WPC
- if more than two people are tied tied in 1st place - the belt is vacated
- the challenger has the advantage part one - if two predictor are tied for 1st, the champion loses the tie
-the challenger has the advantage part two - if two predictor are tied for 1st (and the champion is not present in the tie) - then the lowest ranked predictor wins the tie
Following the results from this event, we had two predictors that both posted a score of 5-3. Due to the fact that neither of these two (Lethal Banks & MachoDan) were the champion going into the contested - we refer to rule 'the challenger has the advantage part two' in which whoever was the lowest ranked predictor wins the tie. In the overall standing prior to standings prior to the event Lethal was ranked 2nd whilst MachoDan was ranked in 9th meaning that our...
...and new champion is MachoDan! Congratulations on claiming your first championship honour in the WPC. Below is the complete standings from the Rebellion Event:
