Real Reason Smackdown was stripped down in the draft.

It is indeed being confirmed by many sources that WWE stripped Smackdown bare of top talent because many MyNetwork TV affiliates will drop/move Smackdown from now until October across the states. With that in mind Smackdown will become weaker and they want to build fresh new talent to debut strongly on SyFy.​

So apparantly Punk, Taker and Rey aren't considered top talents in the WWE?

It's possible. The last few weeks over here Smackdown isn't on until 10 or 11 because of semipro hockey playoffs. It's pretty obvious that they do not really care to much about Smackdown despite the fact that it's likely the top rated show on the channel. I don't have numbers or anything but for the most part the channel is nothing but court shows and syndicated tv shows/movies.

Yes and no, I've heard some markets are dropping it but Smackdown! in MOST of the United States is still on MyNetwork TV.

Its moving in October to SyFy though, thats what you got confused about

It depends on how they handle MVP for me to care like I did during his last SD run. So far he's off to a good start, but I want to see where he's at 2-3 months from now. And he needs to start doing the Drive By kick again.
