I doubt Ronaldo will, he's seen as #2 but in my opinion he's DEFINITELY at least on par with Messi, if not better. Ronaldo today was skinning Alvez, Puyol, Mascerano and all when he got it, his goal was class. They're both fantastic but so many people (and important people) are bias to Messi imo.

I think people think CR is a cocky dick and Messi is a nice guy and it clouds their judgement. I agree Crayo, CR is at worst Messi's equal.

The annoying thing is, he's not anywhere near as bad as he was. He used to dive, now he sort of does what Messi does, goes down, stands up and walks away. He was stamped on today so that was the exception. They say "Ronaldo doesn't perform against Barca" but including today he's scored in what, their last 3 encounters is it? Yeah I think it is, and got the winning goal twice... I just hate bias commentators/analysists. They compared them on the pre-show, they showed 7+ of Messi's goals, then showed 2 of Ronaldo's. It just bugs me.

I love Messi, I always will, but in my opinion Ronaldo this year has been better due to the variety of goals, the amount and the importance. He's done some special things this year but Messi will win Baloon D'Or next year.

This game should change their mind though, Messi was pretty poor today for his standard.
