Rock never had his Mania moment until Cena. He was the big storyline against the McMahon/Helmsley regime and he got screwed at Mania and won it at Backlash. Are we all forgetting this? I think it's better for Bryan Togo even further with the Authority this year in the Austin title role and look like the one who fucked their plans forBatista right up until Summerslam and see wherever they go from there.
Pretty sure Rock beating Hogan at mania was his mania moment and a bigger mania moment at that. This particular storyline it made WAY too much sense for it to be Bryan being in the main event and finally winning the title from Orton. This pretty much wrote itself the minute Bryan got screwed at SS.

Hogan/Rock was not a main event. HHH/Jericho were.

Bryan not being in the main event at Mania could prolong it and ultimately have his moment at Extreme Rules. He could face Triple H at Mania with a guaranteed title shot, with no Authority interference in a cage or something on the line, to face uber heel Batista and thumping the guy who took his Mania moment. That will give Bryan all the focus to Summerslam against Authority heels Orton/Batista/Sheamus perhaps?, until he gets a big name at Summerslam.....Brock/Cena rematch maybe? So on and so forth.

But I guess if it's not now it isn't good enough because we can't wait.
How much longer do you want people to wait though? By the time it is Wrestlemania it will have been what, 7 or 8 months? 95% of the fans are already tired now because of the way the whole thing has been booked with the constant sidetracking and no clear vision. People are tuning into weekly programming, each PPV, a fair few buying it, a fair few not, not the point since they're still giving WWE the attention and time, just hoping for that moment but end up being left disappointed and with a sour taste in their mouth PPV after PPV. It's getting worse at this stage when you have ex-top guys who love the business like Mick Foley and Steve Austin calling them out on their bullshit. Yet WWE keeps just going with what they want to do and not what the fans want. "Deal with it" more or less. Them getting Bryan to trick the Greenbay fans into supporting a match against HHH during that promo was a joke. First he gets replaced by Batista in the match he deserves to be in and should be in where the slow burn finally pays off at the biggest show of the year after 8 months. I don't care to say the payoff should be at the fucking rematch PPV is ridiculous. It's not even on the same scale. Then he gets sidetracked to a match with HHH which was a last minute backup decision since that was Punks spot. The match shouldn't even be happening. It's simply an ego stroke where HHH wants to be on the card and where it is a 50/50 chance Bryan wins.

Yeah but it was still Rock's big career mania moment despite it not ending the show since a match billed Icon vs Icon is as big as any title match.

So what's that got todo with ending the show like they wantBryan to do? Bad example lets not stretch it past that.

Because that's what promoters do in wrestling. Bryan being made to look like he is buried by the company has only made him a hotter commodity. I said in the EC thread it's starting to get a little frustrating for the guy not pulling through, but a Bryanloss made more buzz than him winning does. Duh.

Promoters milk the fuck out of it.

The biggest thing here isn't even Bryan ending the show it is him being in the title match because that is what it has been about for him in this long storyline. If that was the case then you would see people just saying how Bryan/HHH should main event the show. The main event part is just coming up because it is assumed that the world title match is going to main event since it should. Even if it didn't end the show if Bryan was in the match and won the world title it would still be huge and still be the right pay off.

Bryan ending Mania with giant yes chants was everyone's major point. If not happening at Mania doitat the next ppv.

Bull.

It was about trips screwing him not the title. Trips declaring he wasn't best for business. Trips declaring he couldn't be the company face. Trips ordering the attacks by the shield and Wyatt's. It's always been about fucking HHH rucking him every step of the way first and title/Orton second.

The biggest fuck up was punk finding his way into Bryan's spot, not Bryan challenging trips

Yeah I get that it's really helped his status but now is the time, mania is the best time for the payoff of this story to happen. The Authority has been trying to keep the title off of Bryan. Bryan beats the Authority by winning the title. That's been the central conflict of the story.

Every time Trips screwed him it was over the title genius, that is how all this shit started was Triple H screwing him out of the title. Being face of the company and all of that all had to do with being champion.

To be fair the Authority storyline is going to end up progressing past Wrestlemania anyways. If Bryan does somehow win the title at Wrestlemania, it pretty much makes the Authority's attempts to bring down Bryan obsolete, seeing that Bryan already has accomplish his goal to win it at the big stage.
It's not the storyline stretching past Mania that's the problem, it's the fact that they're doing the screwing him angle month after month with the end of goal of winning the title nowhere in sight. Bryan winning the title doesn't make the Authority's attempts to bring him down obsolete, it just intensifies them even more and they'll stop at nothing to removing him as the face of the WWE. This time, instead of Bryan being screwed in the big important matches, the roles are reversed and he overcomes the odds.

Do you honestly think though that waiting just that extra month will make things better / more special than them just biting the bullet and having him winning the title at the dirty 30 all the while getting that WrestleMania moment that all the superstars seem to talk about?

Also, I don't think the not being able to wait part isn't true. I know for me at least and i'm pretty sure the majority on here believed that prior to Batista's return he was winning the title at Mania so were fine in waiting in that long. To me it just feels like the Ryback situation they had when he was facing Punk for the title where he probably should have gotten the title but because they'd already made promises elsewhere to Punk/Rock/Cena they had to keep it away from him and ultimately he hasn't been the same since. You figure in that when Batista gets the title he will presumably hold it for a good 3/4 months and possibly drop it at SummerSlam (Just a guess, know idea what his schedule is) so how do they go about keeping the fans interested in Bryan again as they continue to screw him out of yet more title matches?

And Bryan has won the title, only for trips to fuck him again. Bryan's main evented ppvs to be fucked. He wasn't put in the rumble because trips fucked him. He can't even wrestle HHH because trips won't allow it while laughing in his face to fuck with him. It's always been about Hunter from the second he made himself ref of the match and decided to screw him. The title is secondary, the fact people harp on Bryan winnig the damn thing for a fourth time is stupid. They should want him to kick Hunters fucking head in

Wrestlemania is already booked, shoehorning Bryan is lame, give him the spotlight in the next show because the arguments for mania are all over the place. Fans not knowing what they want in abundance here.

You can't even consider his title victories a proper reign. How is harping on about him winning it stupid because despite all that, it has always come down to his chase for the title and finally overcoming the authority ffs.

This is WrestleMania. The title is the central conflict. The entire story since SummerSlam has revolved around the title. Bryan wants it, Triple H wants him to not have it. Bryan wins in the end by getting the title, not by beating Triple H. You don't put the middle of the story at WrestleMania. This has been building for months. This is the logical conclusion. Stringing this out any longer makes no sense.

Oh and once again, clearly WWE felt the same way since HHH was booked against Punk and couldn't care for Bryan. That is why him "finally defeating the guy screwing him" is stupid.
