Which show were you watching more, which show was better.

Week 1: Impact

Although neither show was really all that great, TNA attempted to pull out all stops for the first show. The WWE didn't need to have a awesome show with WM right around the corner.

TNA easily. They had me hooked at Sting's heel turn. I caught the opening segment of RAW which had damn good promos from Taker and HBK. I also caught Legacy beating Orton, the divas match, and Bourne getting in the MITB. But who gives a shit? RVD came back to wrestling, Hardy is in TNA, The X Division was featured well, and Sting turned heel. The first week goes to Impact easily for me at least.

Nation said it best, TNA gets my vote.

Only good things from Raw last night were the promos, and HHH/Sheamus

RVD is back and Sting being heel is here too.... personally right now, that's all that matters :D

TNA easily had the better product this week. RVD and Hardy's debuts were pretty cool as was Sting's heel turn. Now I am just curious to see how long it lasts (Sting's turn) because we all know how much the fans love Sting.

Oh, herro California!
I watched both. As far as what was better, I don't really think it was comparable. Both of them were going for different things.

TNA's goal was to draw viewers on their first week going head to head with Raw.

WWE's goal was to hype Wrestlemania.

I think they both accomplished what they set out to do.

TNA had more action going on, some little surprises but I don't know if they can sustain what they threw at us. They really didn't save anything that would make people want to watch next week to see what happened. I don't want to watch and see Hogan and Flair bleeding, Sting brandishing a bat, and Hardy doing spots. I've already SEEN that. TNA should be giving us what the WWE CAN'T give us, they aren't using what they have as ammunition.

WWE knows they have their biggest PPV of the year coming up, and people are going to watch it regardless, so they really don't have to try very hard to do anything to get our attention. And they haven't.

People say tna was the best and i agree, but i bet you raw had the ratings as always this week. How long do we give TNA to get the ratings?

I wish William Regal would leave WWE and join TNA. They already released Paul Burchill for no reason. I'd like to see Regal, Burchill and Williams as a stable.

Oh yes, Regal in TNA. Another older guy who would go to TNA and all the smarks would complain about him taking up the time that could be given to the younger guys.

But tbh, I would love to see Regal in a mentor role to Doug Williams.

William Regal is a veteran who can still get it done in the ring. I believe he would be used much better in TNA.

tbh I would much rather that TNA uses some of the guys that are currently in place to help build them for the future. Don't get me wrong I love Regal but he isn't exactly young. TNA should be imo thinking long term and bulding up some other future big names besides Pope and Wolfe.

They should consider hiring Paul Burchill then. He's already got the mic skills and inring ability. I believe he could be a big star if given the right push.

I watched more Impact and was completely disappointed. Too much Hogan and his goons. Too many promos, not anywhere near enough wrestling. Poorly booked Hardy run in again. Lack of Ultimate X build up. Shannon Moore leap frogging the entire X division for a shot. Just too much YUCK.

Raw wasn't any better but atleast it served it's purpose to further WM storylines with the Taker/HBK promo, the awesome HHH/Sheamus promo, Bourne qualifying and the Cena-Batista ending. And Truth-Momo looked pretty formidable too. Almost every match/storyline was touched upon last night and atleast it was linear and didn't over expose anyone the way TNA did with Hogan and his goons.

I would almost think this is a push, but TNA didn't do much to further any storylines besides Hogan/Abyss-Flair/AJ and ANOTHER Beer Money turn and the lack of wrestling was plain disappointing. I fail to understand how people can call this the "better" wrestling show when there wasn't much to begin with. It wasn't. To me people are over exaggerating this as much as the 1/4 show and I'm not hating on TNA to just hate, I tried, I truly believed they'd give me more wrestling, but they didn't. So Raw wins, progress is always better than a clusterfuck and nonsense and over exposure.

What? Those ARE things the WWE can't give us. Blood, hardcore violence? Sound familiar? It shouldn't, because it's not present in the WWE anymore. At least Hogan and Flair are still willing to mutilate their bodies for people's enjoyment and to show that this isn't a PG show. It's brutal and violent and that's one thing that people overlook about TNA which they try to utilize. However, the prospect of meaning and significance of these actions is NOT utilized or present by TNA as much. It's mainly just random brawls for the sake of fighting and showing they're violent and the WWE isn't. Whereas in the Attitude Era, when Austin and Triple H went at it, yeah they beat the fuck out of each other and bled like HELL, had brawls, almost killed each other, but it was that epic ass storyline behind it which made it so great.

I also don't know what's going on with Destination X or when it even is. Hopefully things will be more organized or something next week. Need two shows, there's too many fucking people on this god damn roster, sigh.

I'd rather see Flair in the ring than Hogan. Flair has still got it IMO.

Impact beat RAW this week IMO.

I thought either show could've done A LOT better, but TNA was better. I loved the X division title match. I liked RVD coming back w/ Sting heel turn. I was pissed when the show cut off before Jeff Hardy hit the Swanton Bomb. Oh well.
