Below are some recent WWE attendance figures:

* RAW on June 6th in Madrid, Spain drew 6,000 fans for $270,000
* RAW on June 7th in Seville, Spain drew 4,700 fans for $230,000
* RAW on June 8th in Valencia, Spain drew 4,700 fans for $215,000
* RAW on June 9th in Barcelona drew 6,500 fans for $300,000

Not too bad, didn't profit as much as I thought they would. Australia profits a shit load more than that.

Wow. Those are pretty shit gate attendance numbers for WWE. Might not be in such a rush to get back to Spain.

Not really. All depends what size arena they booked.

For the June 6th show in Madrid, the venue's capacity is 15,000 people it says on wiki.
For the June 7th show in Seville, the main hall of the venue has a capacity for 7,626 people, expandable up to 10,000 through extra steps.
For the June 8th show in Valencia, the venue has a seating capacity for 9,000 people.
For the June 9th show in Barcelona, the venue holds 12,500 people.

My own research. lol so yeah that isn't that great of ticket sales and I'm still curious why they haven't brought a taping to Australia yet with our attendances. In 2011, while it wasn't at the level of previous tours, WWE's trip to Australia drew what was described as "healthy business" last weekend. 7/1 in Sydney drew 13,000 fans with an estimated gate of $1.1 million. 7/2 in Melbourne drew 12,000 fans with another estimated $1.1 million gate (which proved to be even more impressive going head-to-head with an Australian Rules football game in the same city that drew 43,000 fans). 7/3 in Perth drew 6,000 fans with a $510,000 gate. 7/4 in Adelaide drew 5,200 fans with a $450,000 gate. And 7/5 in Brisbane drew 6,500 fans with a $550,000 gate.

Bad time to be heading to Spain since the country is in a serious financial crisis, not many people have money to spend on non essential events like this.

WWE are heading back to Australia soon but oddly for only three shows on the east coast; Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Normally they head to Adelaide and Perth as well which make them a lot of money. The revenue from the tour is massive just from ticket sales but then if you add in merchandise sales as well it would be a very profitable trip. I agree that they should give us a taping because they make so much money here and there is a huge base of fans that keep turning out year after year. They could tape it Monday night and easily get 25k fans in the right arena.

Um... the US is kinda still in a serious financial crisis too, so that's not an excuse. I guess people in Spain just really aren't high on WWE right now. 4,000-6,000 heads per show is shit compared to what WWE draws in North America, it's a wonder they even go over there.

Spain is in a lot worse trouble than US, Spain are very close to defaulting whereas US are fine as long as China doesn't call in their debts. Because of the low numbers in Spain WWE probably won't tour there for quite some time and wait until things get back on track.
