The Wrestling Observer reported last week that with the ratings success of the weekly "Legends" segments on Raw, WWE officials are strongly considering making the feature routine by having one former Superstar brought back on every show. PWInsider.com reports Monday that internally, the belief is that the re-emergence of former talent such as Vader, Sycho Sid and Bob Backlund caused part of a lapsed wrestling audience to tune in to WWE programming again. Should WWE continue the angle, names most likely to resurface are Tatanka, Steve Blackman and Big Daddy V. Those three and several other alumnus were contacted to appear on Raw 1,000, but WWE officials ultimately changed their minds and limited the Heath Slater gang beating to the APA and those who had already participated in the storyline.

Conspicuous by his absence last week on Raw 1,000 during the Brothers of Destruction reunion between The Undertaker and Kane was longtime
manager Paul Bearer. When Bearer last appeared on Raw in April, he was kidnapped by Randy Orton and then stuck in a storage freezer while strapped to a wheelchair. Kane later came for Bearer, only to roll him back into the freezer and say, "I'm saving you...from me." A Twitter user pondered whether Bearer's noticeable absence stemmed from the legendary manager still being locked up in the freezer. Bearer responded, "Yeah..... still in the freezer, dumb ass."

Bearer also said of his whereabouts, "I am not going to waste my time playing your silly "where were you" games. I never said I would appear, not scheduled, enjoyed being home."

Paul Bearer's a lot different on Twitter than he is on television. :lmao

Paul Bearer blocked me on Twitter 8D

And I don't really care much for this, but I'd still probably mark the fuck out for Blackman.

Tatanka has had a lot of WWE appearances. I wouldn't mind Big Daddy V coming back, and Blackman would just be awesome!

Do not care much for Bearer anymore. It's lived out it's nostalgia.

I hope they do this and that some how in the end it ends up that Santino loses the US title to Slater.

Ugh I don't want this at all. It's cool seeing a old face coming back every blue moon but last thing WWE needs is to waste time on Raw on something doesn't progress anything storyline or add to any in ring time.

It can be argued that these segments are the only reason Slater is getting over though. He seems to be forming some followers from this, and it is getting him noticed. So in a sense, they are progressing the career of Slater

As much as I loved Slater in these segments, I don't really want them to continue either unless they do at least start getting him some wins like the one over Doink.

I'm not disagreeing with that at all which is why I wasn't against them returning against him. But I don't want them to just start coming back for the hell of it or to just have Slater stuck in it. If they do keep mixing him up with legends for storyline reasons then it needs to be done differently this time.

Plenty of time on the show for this every week and there's plenty of guys they could use for it. I'm a supporter of this.

Big Daddy V isn't a legend under any gimmick of his.

Wouldn't mind some rarely seen midcarders like Val Venis, Godfather, Lance Storm, etc turning up to kick the fuck out of Slater, but if it's the standard procedure of trotting out Slaughter, Snuka, Duggan and the like then bin the idea already.

Don't think we're gonna see any more legends after this past weeks episode of RAW. Ortons return prob finishes it and it all comes full circle with him being "the legend killer". So yeah I think that's it now.

I'd rather him come back as the World Largest Love Machine and hump Slater than coming back as Big Daddy V. 8D

I was always glued to my TV in a really fucked up way when he was BDV and looked all big and disgusting. Probably the most I ever enjoyed him.
