You know what's stupid about this... they are on a team that, if they win, it means Steph has no more power... so by actually letting something she promised them influence their decision making they are conceding that The Authority will win on Sunday.

That's pretty ironic yes. Good catch, that hadn't occurred to me.

Furthermore, you would think if they were both more concerned about getting them out of power, they would have decided on a "finger poke of doom" finish to keep themselves all right for the match. And then if they win, it renders Steph's offer completely useless.
