I've always felt Rusev has some very good moments. He's a bit of a throwback to the brawlers of the 60's and 70's. The problem is that he is very spotty concerning those moments.... and I don't particularly like it when he throws his arms out and growls... makes me think he is more constipated than threatening.

He really hasn't mastered that aggression vibe. And truthfully he doesn't need to with his moveset. He can be far more dominant with the moves he displays.

I know he's mostly retired in ring, but a William Regal v Rusev match might have been a good idea.. Regal can be really gritty and violent when he wants, plus the crowd would be eating that up. It would be slow paced, but it would be violent and the crowd always goes into a frenzy when he's there.

And I agree about his moveset. The first few times I watched Rusev, his wrestling pretty much told the story of his character and he doesn't really need the theatrics to add to it. He can speak through his actual wrestling.

The Regal stuff would be genius. I've always loved how Regal presented himself as such a gentleman but a bar brawler in the ring.

Yeah it easily would have been match of the night. WWE screwed it up in 1998 when they tried to make Regal into a lumberjack or as they called it "A man's man." But yeah, having a well mannered gentleman who carried himself with some disdain, yet was one of the more brutal brawler worked better.

I love how intimidating Stephanie can still make herself out to be.

That's why i liked it when Stephanie called Lana a twit. I don't like her when she kisses ass to get things to go her way. She got Rusev the only way she could, by cutting through the bull and pretty much forcing them to join. The way Lana's face fell and reluctantly gave in was the perfect complement.

I haven't read any spoilers but I assume the whole Ryback issue is not as cut and dry as it appears at the moment.
