As of this past week on RAW, the content rating for the show has been changed from TV-14 to TV-PG.

What the hell? RAW is PG now? WWE really is focusing more on the kids now...

Thoughts?

Its still 14+ where I live...
But if it says PG in the states, thats probably more accurate, and this sucks... I wish WWE would stop and realise they have more teenage/mid 20 year old fans than little kids... And its much easier to keep their current fans, and get more fans our age, by giving a more attitude style product, than it is to gain kid fans... And if they keep going kid-style, they're gonna end up losing alot more fans than they gain.
They better turn this around:(

this is really sad. They should try and bring the attitude era style back to the WWE. I wont be surprised if they will start airing through Cartoon Network 5 years from now

WTF...Isn't Power Rangers still rated like TV-14...That means wrestling now has less violence then Power Rangers...That is jsut dumb...WWE needs to spice it up a bit...

Never! It's stated in Section 213-Rule #76 in the WWE handbook, John Cena shall not have a World Championship reign last less then 12 months. [Rule was added 08/1/1]

With all the negative drug press WWE is getting of coarse their going to clean their image try and target the kids....just like what they did in 1993-1996. Im sure in a few years from now they will move their product to teenagers. Its just with UFC dominating the 18-30 year olds, it only makes sense for WWE to target kids.

I'm just surprised TNA hasn't tried to spice up their show with more sexual refrences and more violent matches. This would be TNA's time to start their own 'attitude'.

Doesn't surprise me when I went to see a WWE house show it was 90% little kids, it actually kinda spoiled my enjoyment of the show.. well actually it was enjoyable anyway, but yeah the kids shouting and stuff didn't help either. Whereas the TNA show I went to last night, I saw like four or five kids, maximum.

You only have to compare it's content now to a few years ago and there's clearly a difference between how far they'll go.

The problem(s) with WWE are as followed (in no particular order):

- Vince McMahon's arrogance of refusing to shake off his misguided belief he knows what fans want. He doesn't.
- Stephanie McMahon's head of creative position. She couldn't book a plane ticket.
- Kevin Dunn (he needs to be fired). WWE's overall television production is stale, uninspired and is no longer cutting-edge as it used to be.
- Triple H's too great of influence in booking.
- TV writing -- the backstage segments are poorly written and lazy writing to set up storylines.
- The booking. We all have our opinions on WWE booking. Most of us are right.
- Lack of focus for the company. Instead of concentrating on wrestling, WWE is trying to produce weighlifting organzations, football leagues, record lables, power drinks and movies.

:smh

Thank God for Ring of Honor that's all I have to say.

Ok, so lets have the WWE do what they did before in the attitude era where they lost almost all of their sponsors. This is the thing about trying to appeal to a LARGE audience instead of a niche market, you have to deal with angry parents and shit like that. And besides, none of you are being forced to watch. If you want more violence, go watch the blueberries in CZW

It really doesn't matter, I don't see anything that's "TV-14" on Raw. And it's kind of stupid when you have most fans that watch Raw under 14.

I really wouldn't want to see another Attitude Era, the more you try to live in the past, the more stale and predictable WWE can be. It's not the 90's anymore.

I would swear in this thread, but it is rated PG :shifty:

Meh, I don't see it changing the current brand at all. Except Edge may have to change his gimmick >_>
