that punch and visual gave birth to the man, I watched that shit live, dunno what Dale is on about

Not really lol she was already being called the hottest thing in wrestling before that. Then the moment happened and skyrocketed her to even more popularity....for about 4 days but then the match had to be called off and they tried their best to kill all of Becky's momentum after that with the shitty way she won the rumble, the dumb way Charlotte was shoehorned into the match, and then the dumb finish the match itself had after that Mania lasted 18 hours.

So I'd say Becky peaked at the face breaking moment but never even got back to it because it also killed the hype since she had to take the time off and it wasn't the same as her original run where the crowd got behind her in the feud wirh Charlotte where she first started calling herself the man when she returned

What happened after was stupid shit but I see it as her db moment where the crowd forcefully willed her back to the main event. I that doesn't happen she might not even get a wm moment after the original Ronda fight n very good chance she's cooled off for Charlotte. So ya I disagree, was a blessing in disguise and absolutely made her a long term star to this day

It got casuals to tune into what though? Becky not being there bc she was concussed af? the fans had willed her into the character BEFORE it already is what I'm saying, she'd been the man since summerslam and only managed to be a heel for like 2 weeks bc she was so over.

Maybe she doesn't get the Mania main event without the injury, sure that I'll agree with is likely. But for my personal enjoyment, it 100% killed the momentum lol summerslam - survivor series Becky was a star already, she was getting talked about on sportscenter and shit before her face was broken and it was all a natural progression. Once she got hurt and returned it became all WWE mechanisms with their dumb tropes bc they were all-in with Becky (points for your argument I'd say though) but it also wasn't as good lol

She won the rumble tho? They were cheering for her to get added in bc WWE was doing dumbass fuckery to manufacturer it the rumble winner should never have to be forced into their Mania match
