Jokes aside, from what we've heard the last couple years ago it does seem like their letting a lot more freedom happen :lol a positive example would be Roman since he allegedly has a ton of input in his stuff now along with Heyman
i know, it's just to remind people of this when they just start to blame everything on creative.

Up-and-coming WWE wrestler Mansoor has opened up about his awkward initial encounter with Shane McMahon.

Mansoor shared his version of the incident -- which allegedly occurred prior to a WWE event in his homeland of Saudi Arabia -- during a recent interview with talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy.

We were sort of in a little, small locker room – me and the other Saudi boys,” Mansoor recalled. “Well actually, it was me, the Saudi boys, and the sumo wrestler they had for the Greatest Royal Rumble. We were sharing that and they were like ‘OK, you’re going to go to that bathroom down there, alright?’ down the hall. That’s what we used, that’s what all the boys used."

When WWE returned to his homeland, The Saudi Arabian Superstar assumed that he would be using the same bathroom, which led to a very awkward situation involving his boss's son.

“So then the next time we were in Saudi for the biggest battle royale, I was going to that bathroom because I knew that was the bathroom that we use, right? That’s the one I go to. So I walk in, go into the stall and I do my business," he said. "So that’s happening and then I walk out into the small locker room -- there’s a few lockers here and three stalls -- and who do I see to my right? There’s Shane McMahon," Mansoor continued.

Under normal circumstances, a young wrestler would be expected to politely introduce themselves to an older performer they'd never met, but Mansoor had just defecated, which made created some tension between himself and Shane-O-Mac.

"I see him there and he’s got his bags out. I’m like ‘hey… hey, how’s it going?’ and he looks at me with the most confused face and says ‘hey, man.’ Then I’m looking at my hands like oh, I can’t shake his hand! Obviously. So I go over and wash my hands and I look over at the towels and they’re out," he recalled. "So my hands are wet and I’m like ‘Sorry’ and he’s like ‘no, no, no, it’s OK.’ So then I go to walk out the door and he says ‘Hey, wait a minute.’ So I stop and freeze in a cold sweat. He looks over and says ‘…Who are you?’ And I go ‘I’m Mansoor.’ And he goes ‘OK, nice to meet you, man. I’m Shane.’ OK, nice to meet you! And I walked out like god, that was so weird," he continued. I totally bungled that interaction. I didn’t shake his hand and I wasn’t respectful and it was all weird."

The reason Mansoor crossed paths with Shane when he did became apparent as soon as he vacated the locker room.

"And then I realised, I went back and looked on the side of the door and there’s a piece of paper that says Shane McMahon’s locker room," he said. "I’m like ‘Oh nooooo.’ I just took a dump in Shane McMahon’s locker room!”

Luckily for Mansoor, his luck in Saudi Arabia would improve as he'd go on to win a 50-man battle royale by outlasting 49 of his colleagues at WWE Super ShowDown in 2019.

I think they've been doing this for over 10 years tbh it makes for funny headlines but I don't really think its a big deal. People that know the business suck at writing sometimes, if she's a professional she'll do her research and learn names. Seems easier to learn wrestling than it does to learn how to be a good writer :lol

Who knows. She may be great at this job. But looking at the last 10 years you mentioned, maybe they should reevaluate their practices. :deandre

Her quote in the article does not set me at ease. :lol

So I am on the Monday Night RAW team. So there’s Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and the people I know that are on it are Bobby — his name is either Bobby Ashley or Bobby Lashley and I really should know that.

He’s like this giant Black guy and he and the people who are part of his crew, I know that they call — or at least as of last year, they called themselves The Hurt Business. The Hurt Business. They wear suits and they’re like, ‘We’re cool.’”

I think I read they hired soap opera writers and then not long after we got the summer of Punk tbf

I doubt that was any of their ideas for the record since the angle was lifted for stuff Punk had done previously but still lol

I always thought it was weird trying to pinpoint specific blame or even credit for writers lol Vince is the only one you KNOW can veto or put anything in so I found it hilarious Bryan had to tell dirt sheets earlier this year that none of the shit on smackdown he was getting credit for was his ideas :lol

But yeah I think 2010-2015 is way better than 2015-2021 WWE and the earlier point was when I remembered them hiring non wrestling writers, late shift was when Vince brought back Prichard, Heyman, had Road Dogg writing SD, etc, right?

On the flip side I think Impact has the best writing at the moment of any company with their shit roster and their booking committee is entirely wrestlers lol

As long as WWE are hiring good writers I don't really care where they come from. I don't ever place the blame on any particular people in the company for my lack of enjoyment, because it seems from all accounts that the flaws are just sewn into the infrastructure. What I would ideally want to see though is some respected wrestling minds coming into the fold who are more likely to step forward and at least try to shake things up the way Heyman seems to, but at this point I'm detached enough from WWE that if they don't get their own shit together then I'm really not gonna stress about it.
