While his reign hasn't been my absolute favorite and I feel like Shinsuke or Drew would have been fine to beat him (or Priest cash in) before they ever thought Punk was a possibility, that stat at least proves the concept of the title being featured more than Roman was stuck to and Seth was the perfect guy for it

Drew would’ve been ok to beat him, but I think they wanted to establish this first run with the new belt as a long one.

Fully expect him to drop the belt at Day 1 though. Whether it’s McIntyre or Priest is the question though

That's the part I disagree with here on HHH's philosophy. The reign has been great but with it being a "workhorse" title as it's established so far, I generally like those switched a little more often to sell that anything can happen when you defend so much. You can argue it shows how good Seth is though which I think was the intention

Yeah i've enjoyed his reign too even though I would have been fine with a drop to Drew or Shinsuke, though I would have felt bad for Seth because I feel like he's deserved this reign.

Without Punk coming back, I would have put him walking into Mania with the belt at a very high chance. With Punk being back now and them presumably doing Rhea/Bex on the same night, I think they can afford to switch the belt from him.

Considering they’ve been teasing it since the night Punk came back, it’s obvious that’s the plan.

It doesn’t HAVE to be for the belt but it won’t main event night 1 if it’s not.

And with Punk talking about finishing what he started and finally main eventing, taking the belt away from the match seems wrong
