^^No, probably not. There were some reports circulating that Nash was going to be used more, but the E apparently told Nash they were going younger. Don't see any valid reason he shouldn't be sitting where Booker Coon is.

But been thinking about this storyline in general, and man, I'm getting excited. Trips, despite his promo being kind of a dud considering how major an announcement he had to make, as the new authority figure is going to rock. Punk is probably going to parade around RoH with the belt, keep it juiced on Twitter and is going to make a shitload of interview spots. I know he's got a scheduled interview with Bill Simmons, who is a huge wrestling fan and has no problem working a kayfabe interview. WWE will probably put out a press release threatening legal action to build it up. As far as Vince goes, they need to keep him off screen probably forever. The time is perfect for a new logo, new sets, new title design and so on with Trips as the leader of the new revolution, ruling with an iron fist. Of course this leads to Punk/Trips built as this era's Austin/McMahon. There are so many directions they can take this storyline and once again it is fun to be a wrestling fan.

Not to mention the fact that Cena wasn't fired because Vince lost it, so Triple H may have silently sided with Cena here, but in a way could always play the guy seeking backlash for the embarrassment of his father-in-law if they want to flip Trips vs. Cena... but the dynamic now is that Cena has no reason not to deserve to be involved in the angle next week surrounding the new champion... something they could cut from the card anyways... causing Miz to flip which could skyrocket him... causing Rey to flip (no, not a heel turn, unfortunately) causing him to skyrocket... the potential for Triple H to "do what's right" and resign Punk, but have heat over Punk's comments and him being "responsible" for the ousting of Pop. All the while, you've got Alberto Del Rio sitting there not only as the #1 contender for the WWE Championship, but he's Mr. Money In The Bank as well... and that combination could be lethal if they actually use it.

If you're not enthralled and pumped about the COUNTLESS avenues they've created ever since CM Punk cut his promo last month... and the result of MITB... the amount of actual wrestling we were given on Raw... the hints at an edgier product (not suggesting they abandon PG)... Triple H as the new Owner... the 13-man main event scene they've got running on Raw right now... you're not meant to be a fan of wrestling, and should just quit now.

@ all the comments about what whether they should or shouldn't bring in a 'new' WWE title...

Does no-one else remember HBK/Razor fued over who was the TRUE IC champ after HBK held the belt ransom and they'd since crowned Hall?

*Typical IWC comment* But that was HBK and Razor Ramon! And the 90's! And it was a midcard title!

That's exactly the point though. Crown a new champion (I'm really hoping they put the strap back on The Miz because they've made him look worthless this past month, even if they're trying to sell A-Ry to people) and have Punk return (signed or unsigned) and claim that nobody can call themselves the rightful WWE Champion, because he's the guy who won the strap. Set it up where the winner takes all, and have a new belt presented the following night.

I'm hoping Enzo's right, however, about the "rebranding" idea. A new belt design, new logo... the whole thing....

....? regarding wht?
forgiving the past 5+ shitty years?

The promo was fine, it was suppose to be 100% real and serious, not him coming out and parading that he's the new owner in typical DX fashion. And I want heel Triple H again so bad, but no idea how they will make it happen like this, can't see him full fledge heel but definitely antagonistic against Punk. The good old days when the fans decide.

It's going to be so easy for him to turn heel... especially if he starts blaming the audiences for not knowing what they wanted and running Vince McMahon out...

I don't think it'll be that easy for fans to boo Triple H at this point in his career, not to mention why wouldn't he just go hitler and fire Cena like Vince was going to, he pretty much saved his ass last week, but we don't know, just need more information however my former point still stands.

Oh without a doubt HHH is going to be the Heel in this whole thing. You could tell by the one promo hes cut since becoming "Chairman". Hes gonna start running shit like a dictator and were all gonna hate his ass. But this hopefully means some more HHH matches coming soon, as well as his heel promos are always classic.
