WWE creative has discussed reuniting Randy Orton and Edge as a tandem.

The duo is scheduled for a dark match at this Tuesday's SmackDown! taping in Cincinnati, Ohio against WWE Champion The Miz and Dolph Ziggler.

Orton and Edge formed an alliance known as Rated-RKO in October 2006 to challenge the team of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The group captured the World Tag Team Championship in November 2006 and officially disbanded in May 2007, after Edge moved to the SmackDown! brand.

I figured this was worth mentioning even though its only in the discussion stages because that dark match was advertised for a short time yesterday on wwe.com as being the main event of SD!.

Rated RKO would be a great candidate to feud with Nexus imo.

Best things about them were their music and DX demolishing them at NYR despite HHH only having one leg.

I get that they need a team to combat Nexus with half of DX retired and half of BOD injured, but I would rather Legacy re-forming in all honesty than Edge and Orton being on both shows

Meh would suck cause can you really see Cody working as a face with his dashing gimmick? They wouldn't fit anymore. Rated RKO would be cool to see but them being on different shows kind of makes that hard since Edge just moved not that long ago. A Evolution comeback would be something to see though.

You would have to bring Dave back. I'd love seeing Dave, Randy, and Trips return. Hell give Dave the damn mic for a good portion of the time after his last run and it would be money.

I just don't want to see Edge and Orton every Monday and Friday

Yeah that's what I meant assuming Dave is coming back it would be a sight to see those 3 together at their current levels. Would be a little too unstoppable, lol. Of course though despite Big Dave being solid on the mic in his last run Trips has to get the most mic time.

How I'd arrange the mic time:

Trips 60%
Dave 38%
Orton 2%

Just let Randy stand there and do what he does best, look like a bad ass with facial expressions

WTF, Dave's mic skills are not that good AT ALL. Orton is awesome on the mic, and depending on his role, Triple H is ok.

Dave was great in his last heel run as Kanye Batista.

Switch ok to Orton and awesome to Triple H. Whether you like Trips mic material or not his mic skills are some of the best ever. Orton can cut a solid enough promo but a hell of a stretch to call him awesome.
