Now that the smoke has cleared, how do you compare WM 26 against the greatest Wrestlemania's of all time? What did you like/dislike about the event?

I feel it is a top 5 wrestlemania, and probably has one of the strongest cards in history. Not sure if the matches lived up to the expectations though. None the less, very strong wrestlemania imo.

Undertaker vs HBK Career vs. Streak classic

John Cena vs Batista (Two of the biggest stars of the past 6-7 years)

Jericho vs. Edge

Vince vs. Bret Hart

HHH vs. Sheamus.

discuss.

It was alright. I was disappointed by the length of a lot of the matches. They never really got a chance to develop into even a decent match in a lot of cases.

I was also a bit put off by some of who they chose to win, but that's not really relevant I guess.

I wouldn't call it top 5, I'm not sure where I would put it actually, but the main event easily slides into the top 5 WM matches of all time for me. Even if the ending sequence was a bit hackneyed for my liking.

On paper a card that stacked should have been right up there with 21 (MITB1, Rey/Eddie, Taker/Orton, HBK/Angle) as being the best over the post-Attitude era, but aside from Taker/HBK & Cena/Batista (& HHH/Sheamus at least being decent) the rest fell short IMO. The Legacy split was poorly conceived, Edge/Y2J was a shadow of what it could have been thanks to Edge's horrible incarnation as a face and Vince/Bret was terrible...

Doesn't break my top 5 of WM3, WM8, WM17, WM18 & WM21.

Meh. Really not one of the better Wrestlemanias. I didn't like a few of the matches (HHH/Sheamus could have been so much more. Vince/Bret was awful) and the matches that we've seen before weren't as good (HBK/Taker and Cena/Batista). For a normal PPV, This card would be pretty good and the match quality would've been great but it just didn't live up to the hype.

These are easily the best WM's ever. The 4 and 5 spots are debatable.

WM 26 though, not near as good, boasted a match better than every match on those three I mentioned except for Austin/Rocky @ 17 in Undertaker/HBK and nothing in the American scene has even come close to topping that match thus far this year. Punk/Rey was ok, but way too short, same for Jericho/Edge. Batista/Cena would have been an excellent ME and was an outstanding match. MITB was pretty good, but not any better than it's predecessors. It was a decent WM, but I don't know if it was better than 24, better than 25, maybe on par with 23.

wm 26 was terrible, another wm that felt like a glorified ppv. nothing was settled, matches weren't given time and lackluster performances by almost everybody

I'm suprised all the Wrestlemania 21 love. It did have some great matches, however the main events/ title matches were lackluster in my opinion. JBL vs. Cena and HHH vs. Batista was basically just a passing of the torch. The first MITB still wasn't better the TLC at 17. I guess my favorites differ from the actual show.

Many people like 17, but i like 18 better.

Many people like WM 8, but i prefer WM 7.

And it looks like More people like WM 21, where as i Like 26. On paper i still feel it's one of the strongest shows.
