Lance Storm wrote a pretty good article about how tag wrestling is on the downhill, and aspiring wrestlers don't want to be the next Road Warriors, they want to be the next Rock or Austin. People coming into TNA have big dreams, not sure how sticking people in long-term tag teams will sit with aspiring tag teams.

But the reason why many fans came to TNA was the push of the X-Division, many wrestling fans (casuals and smarks alike) love the high-flyers jumping around everywhere. And the Knockouts have been a massive draw for them, why on earth would they not want to keep that division going? One of the main things that drew me into TNA was after years of seeing WWE's women's division be painful to watch, TNA's was actually an interesting part of the show, it set TNA apart and made them look superior.

It should be a priority to restock those two divisions before anything else. if they want to use the tag division to give us matches like Morgan and Crimson vs Joe and Magnus, that's fine. The tag belts genuinely feel more interesting than WWE's have for years nonetheless.

The thing is so many performers break through and show their talent when in a tag-team. Edge & Christian are a great example of that. Hell, even Stone Cold said he only started to show what he could do when he was put in a tag-team. It gives you more freedom and less pressure. Tag-teams aren't just about being the next Road Warriors, but it helps develop stars into the next superstars and huge draws. I just think they're missing a great opportunity to be honest.

Exactly. Tag teams are were you develop gimmicks and characters, as well as ring style. Since you are working with a partner you aren't under as much pressure to get it all right from the word go like in a singles career.
