For the most part and given the exteme circumstances going into it, I think the show was pretty entertaining. By no means perfect or anything, but I enjoyed most of it so went with a 7/10.
My two cents on some of the noteworthy events:
a) While great to watch Asuka finally make her debut on the main roster, I feel the booking of the match itself was not done the proper way. No disrespect to Ema, this should not have gone over 4 minutes and most certainly should not have been a back and forth affair.
During the build leading to Asuka's debut, the idea (as they did every week on RAW) was to hype her arrrival and present her as the dominant force she was at NXT, right? That is actually something that especially Corey Graves did to perfection on every occasion, after every video package, right? So, leave the hardcore fans out, any casual fan that does not necessarily follow NXT expects a female monster, destroyer, you name it, right? That being said, and given that first impressions really matter, I think WWE did wrong by what they presented to us last night. In my humble opinion, it should have been Ema perhaps with a bit offense in the beginning for a minute or so and then...game over; two or three of Asuka's signature moves and goodnight Ema...
b) So, WWE's idea of getting Jason Jordan over is by having him throw Elias celery, spinach, cucumbers and whatever the fuck other groceries...This is just beyond Peter Griffin stupidity...:facepalm1:.....
....and to whomever came up with this idea.....:fry:
c) By now I think they should change it from big match John to big match Styles cause AJ - as if we didn't know already - is a beast. It may not have been his best match, but big props anyway becasuse most importantly, he made Fin Balor look all that much better....
d) Main event was fine for what it was. A bit of a cluster, I think, and to be honest, given the situation, I actually thought they were going to give the heels the win here. With Roman out and the Shield reunion postponned, I figured they might have played it where Miz and co get the first laugh, thus building a story to conclude at Survivor Seried, where the Shield in full could get their revenge but I guess at the end of the day they just wanted to send the people home happy and close the show on a possitive note so, sure, I guess that's fine...
e) My other "sour" note is in regards to what I mentioned in a previous post the other day, is that I still feel Kurt Angle's in ring return was wasted....Could have been such a great storyline....
f) Watch Braun Strowman come on RAW tomorrow night...driving the dumpster truck into the ring and cause chaos....as he should....
g)....uh...does this mean Strowman vs. Kane?...:hutz:
