As far as the mic skills argument, I don't really think you have to understand her to rate her high, it just depends on how entertained you are with her mic work. I'm engaged even if I can't understand Japanese, but I still knocked her a few points for it. I don't think it's as big of a deal as people make it out to be though.

It only is for me, cause I look at mic skills as what you're saying, and how much you make me believe what you're saying. Like, I'm sure she's not saying something dumb, and is saying something that is important to the match, but I don't know. But I didn't want to be like most people and get her a 1 or 0. So I just went with 5 to be in the middle.

Nobody is getting over in Japan yelling random English words together.

I'm sure it sounds like random shit being yelled to Japanese people when English folks do it though :TI:

I couldn’t disagree more. For me one of the most important criteria, if not the most important, of a good promo is knowing what the hell the performer is saying.

Asuka just shouting random jibberish (since I don’t know Japanese) does nothing to advance the storyline for me and I’d wager most if not all of the audience.

Same goes for AOP when they cut their promos in whatever language that is. But at least for awhile WWE was providing us with subtitles for their promos.

Then we just simply disagree on what's important criteria for a promo as my most important criteria is whether or not I'm entertained by what I'm seeing or not.

She's got a look unlike any other wrestler.

In ring skills: 10/10
Arguably the best female in ring worker in WWE

Charisma: 10/10
Yeah she's cool as fuck

Mic skills: 2/10
Yeah I wish we could just do N/A for this. I also think you have to know what they're saying. I'm just giving her a 2 because I think she's probably saying something important lol
