Opening

Randy Orton called Kofi and liar and stupid for running away from him at Summerslam. He then went on a rant about how stupid Kofi is. Kofi came in behind Orton and took him down. He was going to hurt Orton's leg by putting a chair on his knee and jumping on it, but the Revival came to the ring. Orton ran off and Kofi took out the Revival with the chair.

Backstage

Kevin Owens approached Shane McMahon, who warned him about more fines. KO said he was not here for that. He mentioned he was sorry about the fine because he needed the money for his family and asked McMahon to reconsider. McMahon told him he would consider it.

King of the Ring First Round: Apollo Crews vs Andrade

Andrade won by pin fall to advance in the tournament

Backstage

Drake Maverick tired to attack Elias but it was revealed the 24 7 championship rules were suspended because Elias is in the King of the Ring tournament

Moment of Bliss

The guest was Charlotte Flair. She claimed she was marketable but Bailey was not. Bailey came out and told Charlotte all she was doing was making excuses, since Bailey is champion. She told Charlotte being the champion made her better than Charlotte. Charlotte told Bailey she devalued the championship and only Charlotte could get back its prestige when she wins at Clash of Champions. Bailey accepted and then pushed Charlotte's chair over.

Miz TV

Sami Zayn brought out Shinsuke Nakamura, claiming he was going to help him in his career as a voice. Nakamura then attacked Miz.

King of the Ring First Round: Elias vs Kevin Owens

Before the match, Shane told KO he would lift the fine but the next time he touched an official, he would be fire. McMahon came down as a ref and did a fast three count to give Elias the victory.

The mystery man was revealed as a guy wearing a Rowan beard.

2 of 10. This is the stupidest episode of Smackdown Live! maybe in the history of the show. The ending of the KO and Elias match was stupid. And touting the reveal of the mystery man for two hours to simply be someone wearing a Rowan beard.

Pure crap.

Orton/Kofi started off the show good

Crews/Andrade was a pretty good match

Then...

At this point the show starts to fall apart

24/7 backstage stuff was stupid

Moment of Bliss was stupid

Murphy beating Daniel Bryan was very good

Then...

At this point the show is in pure avalanche mode

Heavy Machinery vs Revival was boring

Miz TV was idiotic.. Zayn being a mouthpiece for Nakamura is so stupid it's pathetic.

Shane/KO shit is played out now.. it's boring, it's stupid.. huge waste of time.

The reveal was possibly the worst moment of the year so far for WWE. Seriously? A Rowan look-a-like? Really? *sigh*

3/10. And even 3 was a too big of a grade for this show. Why, just why, would anyone in the creative think it’s a good idea to work the KO-Elias match like that? And reveiling of the Roman’s attacker was a big dissapointment as well. Also, why would you put a rookie Murphy over a legend like Daniel Bryan in a completely CLEAN win? That decision simply doesn’t make any sense, it’s like secretly telling people that a good percentage of newbies are undisputedly better than a legend who won 5 world titles. And they didn’t even make Bryan look good in the match, lol. The match really was GOOD, but there wasn’t a single worse decision to end it.

The Moment of Bliss promo was very good though. It heated the Charlotte-Bayley rivalry and it was worked well as a whole. I didn’t catch on Kofi vs Orton promo but Jacob said it was lit so I’m just gonna take his word for that. Crews vs Andrade was also an ok match with a right decision to end it. And that’s it, only 3 good things about this show. RAW was at least 2x better.

Also...I just realized that Murphy pinned Bryan clean...
which I actually called would happen in another thread.

So its okay for Murphy to pin Bryan...but not Reigns?

I mean I'm happy for Murphy...but this just shows that
the entire WWE product revolves around Reigns in
some way, shape or form.

Apart from the women's division that is...although one
could argue Charlotte gets that job.

But hey at least the Queen is occasionally pinned from
time to time & has put over many other women on the
roster in big title matches.

It’s annoying how Charlotte and Roman are getting a monster push in some way even when they are not champions. If anybody, Murphy should have pinned clean Roman, he’s way less over and successful than Bryan is. But again, why should a rookie anyways win clean in his first days on the main roster against people who were shortly before MAIN-EVENTING? Book him in a match with a mid-carder and let the guy win, but you can’t just put him on top and make him beat somebody there in a way that suggests that he is BETTER than that person. :goatface:

Yeah...as much as I love the Queen...she is WAY over pushed.

In fact while the idea of Clash of Champions having Becky vs. Sasha
& Charlotte vs. Bayley makes me actually want to watch the show...
I honestly think Bayley should be feuding with Asuka now...especially
considering the history between the two in NXT.

I'd actually rather see Bayley vs. Kairi because that is at least a fresh
match up the audience has never seen before.

Charlotte should be in the title picture for some time. We’ve had way too much of her there, it’s almost like WWE made a female version of Bruno Sammartino. She’s an awesome wrestler but they have to stop shoving her up our throats at this point.

I like Asuka too, she would be good for that rivalry. Them two sure have that chemistry for a nice feud. That thing against Amber Moon was a complete disaster and Asuka would probably improve this situation.

But imagine Io Shirai in that picture, damn.. Really looking forward to finally see her in the main roster, preferably Smackdown
