Ambrose Asylum

Ambrose announced himself as the first champion to enter the Royal Rumble. His guests were Miz and Marysse. Miz also announced his entrance into the Royal Rumble. Miz demanded Ambrose return the title because Miz should have been disqualified for outside interference. Ambrose pretended like he was going to give Miz the belt, but instead gave him a participation award. Miz then attacked Dean Ambrose. Miz held Ambrose for Marysse to smack him, but Ambrose ducked and she smacked Miz. Ambrose then hit Miz with dirty deeds, gave Marysse the participation award and left the ring.

In the hallway, Natalya attacked Nikki Bella from behind.

The match never started as the two women brawled, with Nattie putting Bella in the sharpshooter outside the ring.

After the match, Dolph Ziggler was asked why he attacked Kalisto the previous week when Kalisto had tried to help him. Ziggler seethed and then left.

Kalisto defeated Dolph Ziggler by pin fall and then Dolph attacked him after the match. Apollo Crews came out to attack Ziggler, but Ziggler beat him with a chair.

Tag Team Championship Match: Champions American Alpha vs Wyatt Family

American Alpha retained the tag team Championship. After the match, a dispute broke out between Orton and Harper which resulted in Harper trying to kick Orton. Orton moved and Harper kicked Wyatt. Wyatt stared down both men when he got up.

Backstage

After being approached by both Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss, Daniel Bryan made a match next week where Alexa Bliss will defend her belt against Becky Lynch in a steel cage.

Carmella w/ James Ellsworth vs Jobber

Carmella won by tap out.

Baron Corbin vs John Cena with AJ Styles on commentary

John Cena defeated Baron Corbin by pin fall.

 

[¡Tranquilo!]

Baron Corbin runs through the lower card, beats Ziggler, Challenges for the WWE championship and loses to Cena clean after only one AA...yeah, makes sense. I guess they needed more time. Overall though 7/10 episode pretty average, next week is gonna be pretty cool...I feel like I say that too much about Smackdown...

Also I see you AJ, throwin' up the two sweets for your boy Omega...

~ Okay...its time for the A-Show...SmackDown Live...And...here we go...

~ The Miz/Ambrose feud opens the show again...but that's fine...because I'm a
big fan of both Dean and the Miz and once again the Miz ends up looking like a
prat...but that's okay...don't worry about it Miz...just take Maryse home and work
on getting some carpet burn together.

~ And there is Nikki Bella...Wow...she is just stunning...may-be that's why
"everyone" hates her boyfriend...they are all just jealous. I know I am...

I mean I love Charlotte...no one else...I swear!1!

Hey...WTF Natalya?! I was looking at Nikki Bella!!! How dare you!!!

SPEAR!!! Do another one Nikki...then hit her with a Jackhammer!

And next we have...Nikki & Natalya beating the shit out of each other. Okay
so I just want to say for the record that this feud is copying the Nikki/Carmella
feud nearly beat for beat. I know there is more history and backstory...but...
perhaps they could try to do something new with this feud...just saying.

~ And we now cut to "Broken" Dolph and...nothing...Okay.

~ And Kalisto gets the win over "Broken" Dolph and...hey that's a bit much
Dolph...leave Kalisto alone! Is it wrong that I like Kalisto? I mean I know
he's worse than Bayley on the mic...but I really like his style.

And now Apollo Crews and Dolph are at it again. This is good because if there
is one guy who has suffered on SmackDown since the brand split...it is Apollo
Crews. Push the new talent WWE...you won't have a future unless you do.

~ Speaking of younger talent...here are American Alpha...and while I'd rather
see the Wyatts reclaim those blue and silver belts...its better for the future
if the AA have a good run with them.

~ And Nikki Bella's Boyfriend is doing an interview...and Oh No...he's fighting
Baron Corbin tonight. G...I wonder who will win? Jesus...please have Styles cost
Cena the match...please.

~ And the Wyatts begin to crumble...and I'm kind of sad about this. I really
was ready to buy into Orton being a full time family member...but let's be
realistic here...Orton should be in the main event scene and he should be
going after Styles and the world title.

Well...it was good while it lasted...and I'll always have Survivor Series and TLC.

~ Oh Yeah!!! Now we are talking...Alexa "My" Bliss vs. Becky "The" Lynch in a
steel cage next week on SmackDown!!! This is going to be awesome!!!

Oh...and a nice dig at Eva Marie by Becky...and it makes sense since Eva
screwed Becky around in the short "Eva shows up but doesn't wrestle" storyline.

~ And the "Dynamic Duo" of "Carmellsworth" scores another win...I mean...its
just a Jobber from Job Town (Seriously...were did they find this woman?)...
but still...Carmella needs to be built up and I'm happy for her to keep winning...
but...I have a question for anyone reading this...but Carmella is a heel right?
Last time I checked she was...so I'm guessing she is just using Ellsworth to
rack up a few wins and may-be get a title shot? May-be?

~ And Baron Corbin gets some more interview/promo time...Good. And here comes
A.J...Yes A.J...please help Corbin win this one.

~ And Nikki Bella's boyfriend wins...well...that sucks!!! Well...its another
high profile match and main event for Corbin...so there are some positives
to take away from this booking.

Another really positive SmackDown that is short, sharp and focused on basic
story telling that is pushing younger talents like Baron Corbin, American Alpha,
Apollo Crews, Carmella and of course Alexa Bliss.

I personally gave this week a 9. I am going to be following smackdown a little more than the other show.

Liked it from start to finish. I started to watch the Monday night show, then realized "hey it's after 9, the good show is on tonight" and started the episode.

- liked the ambrose asylum to open the show. It was good. I like both fellas so I'm glad they are in the rumble.
This year seems like anyone could potentially win it, it's kind of awesome.

- Dolph ziggler vs kalisto, didn't have the most favourable outcome. But the post match shenanigans worked. I'm digging new ziggy.

- glad AA retained the belts. The whole wyatt dynamic is getting interesting. Although most people could see it coming a mile away really. I'm sure they'll eliminate each other from the rumble aswell.

- can't wait for the steel cage match next week. He says it so that la luchadora can't interfere, but if we know wwe, she will.

- carmella beat up someone's aunt. Most likely a relative of Susan Boyle lol.

- good main event. Figured cena would win but that's whatever.
