I thought that was a poor to average raw in wrestling terms, made 'very good' by 2-3 standout moments and a few promos.
1) A hot crowd when Ziggler cashed in, added an extra layer to an already epic moment.
2) An intriguing Shield/Undertaker interaction.
3) The crowd itself, the best for a long while. They turned a poor wrestling show into a good one.
Ryback turning heel isn't a standout for me, heel or face he's a generic big guy with an abundance of power and a few high impact moves, with little or no character reference on the mic which is often the definitive catalyst as to a heel or face. Being either/or won't have much of a different on his perception IMO.
I agree in a way with Alias. I was out of my sear tonight more so than at any point of WM, eapecialy with Ziggler. Though if Ziggler had cashed in with a poor crowd, there'd have been very little good about the show. It is afterall a wrestling event and bar 2 minutes of that (Ziggler) and the IC title match the only positives to the show were the non-wrestling bits. It's A bit like going to a big football match where the game finishes 0-0 but the atmosphere is amazing - it's the only saving grace.
Match by match.
Good opening promo from Cena who dealt well with a tough crowd. (Not often you say that).
Bryan v Big E, only last 2-3 minutes and was generally poor.
Barrett v Miz, MOTN. Decent little bout, seems to make no sense to have Miz hold the title for a day. Enjoyed it though.
ADR v Swagger, a bit like the WM match, both men garner no reaction from me or the crowd so it's always dull no matter what the outcome....Ziggler cashing in was moment of 2013 so far.
Undertaker and Shield interruption was good.
Jobbers v 3MB - Belonged on NXT. Woeful.
Sheamus v Orton, was concentrating on the crowd and not the match, which says it all. All 3 in that angle are about as stale as a Great Khali world title run at the moment.
Rhodes Scholars v Funkys, precisely what it says on the tin, a filler.
Heyman interview was interesting, suggesting Lesnar will be back and Punk will be on raw next week.
Fandango v Kingston, not a match really. Just the opening exchanges followed by an attack from Jericho about 2 minutes in.
Cena v Henry. Cena's first title defence was a count out win in a quick match. Interesting end with Ryback, not sure where we go from here.
So 1 good match, mixed with 1 or 2 acceptable matches and some full on crap. E need to make Orton heel, give Sheamus a worthwhile storyline and demote Show to the scrapheap.
(On phone - sorry for any typos and wrong match order)
