Thought the booking was good, but despite that it lacked... entertainment, somehow. Guess it's like those dreaded middle of the road nxt shows that are story pivotal but not the greatest. Edge and Golddust were awesome, AND they were actually useful in helping talent get over + clearly cared, so it was really nice to finally cheer for a legend again. They finally changed up the formula like I've been begging them to do + yet another awesome Bryan vs __________ match + AJ's epic one-liner... maybe this wasn't so bad after all. 7/10... wait, 6/10 because of whatever Numbskull booked Ryback and RVD

Also, I was thinking Hulu Plus was terrible with all that was cut out, but then after seeing what was left on the cutting board... yeah, you're a freak in' lifesaver.

What was on the Hulu version?

Why would they book Ryback to go over RVD without ADR interfering or anything? Seems Blue

They didn't, he just crotched him and got himself DQ'ed for no reason before shellshocking him in the... never mind you're right, that's like both guys losing lmao

It's like they want everyone around the WHC to be hapless. Maybe they want to bring the belt down to Sandow's level instead of him up to it. ADR rarely seems to win matches, Ryback just mindlessly gets himself DQed, Ziggler isn't anywhere close to that belt, Sandow is jobbing to idiots like R-Truth... so you can't have RVD look so much better than everyone else, can you?

Yeah, suppose that might make the WHC look like a world belt or something (and what's up with Sandow jobbing to RVD clean? No need for that either) but yeah, they protected him since he didn't get pinned but why make Ryback stand strong over him right before his title match? Just sounds stupid. Unless that's what they were going for (making him look bad and all).

I missed Raw this week since my satellite was out but I skimmed through the results and saw some stuff on Youtube. I thought the opening segment was a good use of Edge, having to make him suffer through watching his friend get dragged out to the stage after what I'm just sure was a rough beat down. And I mentioned this in another thread, but Edge's line about him not knowing for sure whether Daniel Bryan can defeat Randy Orton or not was funny to me since Bryan already got that victory once this year already. Not to mention defeating John Cena, the guy who defeated Orton every time he faced him except, like, once? And even that involved interference. I know it's a small nitpick and they're just trying to build Bryan up more as an underdog but I like nitpicking small things like that, be it wrestling or any other TV show (or film.) I think those are the kind of things I'd easily catch if I were a writer.

The way they used Goldust was interesting as well. I really love how they are incorporating the entire roster into this Corporation angle and hopefully Cody Rhodes will benefit from this. Hopefully he comes back a little more interesting (read: less bland) as well.

The last thing I want to mention is Santino defeating Caesro. I mean, really? I'm used to good talent like Caesro getting jobbed out but doing so for Santino, a comedic jobber who has no chance of being relevant in a serious role ever, is a bit much. I remember last month when Daniel Bryan ran the gauntlet when he had to face The Real Americans and Ryback back-to-back. There were reports of how both Bryan AND Caesro got high praise from people backstage for their one-on-one encounter. I guess this is how they reward Caesro?

We're back to Ziggler jobbing in random Raw matches, so we're back to 0/10 for me.
