this was a cool Raw, good segment after good segment. Hope Smackdown can keep the train going, especially with Nakamura as a heel now.
- the Steph/Rousey segment was a great way to start. Not only did Ronda have an amazing debut but she also managed to get even more over by breaking Steph's already broken arm again. Can we make this Ronda's gimmick and just have her break Steph's arm every week lmao
- Ember Moon debuting was also amazing, I just hope they don't expose her on the mic right away because that's not what she's known for lol. Talking about mic-work, Nia Jax sounds so unauthentic on a microphone, it baffles me how people cheered for what she was saying. Nia Jax just said "shut up Alexa" as if we're on an elementary school playground, and people reacted to this as if it was Supa Hot Fire or smth. I don't know, Nia looks like a monster but talks like a little girl, especially as a babyface now.
- I said this back when he debuted in NXT, but No Way Jose is just a revival of Adam Rose's party gimmick and it probably still won't work lol. Maybe it will become a funny thing like Fandango did for a while, but it will never turn into anything serious. So I don't know where they envision this going but I wouldn't be shocked if he gets repackaged in a year or 2.
- The whole Seth/Finn/Miz segment was sick as well, "that's really big of you to admit that you cried man, because that's what everyone else does when they watch you try to wrestle", good lord. I'm surprised that they cut that out of their YouTube video, that was a killer line, in kayfabe or not.
- Paige announcing her retirement was bound to happen but it's nice that she got to do it on a night as special as the Raw after Mania. On a side note tho, did she get work done on her face? She looks really different to me, or does she just wear 2 more layers of make up now? She just looks and even sounds like a mess as of late too.
- I thought Lashley was gonna have a bigger return angle than what he got against Elias and I hope they don't keep him a babyface for long before people get sick of him again like they did in 07.
- the Authors of Pain debuting was obvious, yet way overdue. I actually read that Paul Ellering was the reason why didn't debut earlier because he didn't like the traveling schedule, which makes even more sense now that they just dropped him in their first match on the main roster. I hope they don't turn into the Ascension because I'm not that confident in their work, given that their best matches were fortunate enough to include some of the best wrestlers in NXT at the time.
- I thought this was the perfect opportunity for Reigns to turn heel and go into his final match with Lesnar as a heel. Obviously, any week is a good week to finally turn him heel but now it would have fit into the story perfectly. He got his ass kicked clean as a whistle, now he's gotta be pissed, but they didn't pull the trigger yet again. Instead, we had Joe cut an amazing promo on Reigns. Samoa Joe has to be one of the smoothest talkers they have in the company right now, from the calm and collected sound of his voice to the deliverance of his lines, it was just a good segment all around.
- love their new approach on Bray's character, seeing Bray smile makes me smile. And not in a psychotic way like he used to smile, but in a genuine way. Their backstage segment with Brother Nero was fun and heartwarming, made Bray seem like a human for once and I actually liked it a lot.
- Zayn/Owens are probably gonna have something to do with the shake up next week but good god, that TNA line by Kurt was insane on so many levels, you can tell the crowd couldn't recover from it and only started listening to the rest of the segment after like 15 seconds again lol.
