Opening
Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho were in the ring and KO told Jericho his plan was brilliant. Jericho then gave KO the Hug of Jericho. Jericho and Owens then made fun of Santa Claus and Jericho accused him of stealing his idea of making lists. Then Jericho put Santa on the list. Mick Foley then came out and told KO and Jericho that they have been really naughty. Jericho made fun of Foley's outfit and said it was the worst thing he has ever seen. Foley insisted that it wasn't the worst thing Jericho had ever seen. Foley then told Jericho he would show him the worst thing he ever saw, and he took his jacket off and had a really ugly shirt on under it. Foley then made a tag team match of Reigns and Rollins vs KO and Jericho.
Foley made the main event at the Royal Rumble for Raw be Owens defending the Universal Title against Roman Reigns in a shark cage above the ring. Jericho said that Foley couldn't force him in the cage. Foley told Jericho if he didn't enter the cage, he would never enter a WWE ring again. Chris Jericho complained about the weakness of the cage and got himself locked in it without realizing it. Jericho demanded to be let out of the cage, but Foley lost the key. Foley then said the cage won't rise until he gave the signal at the Rumble. Foley "accidentally" gave the signal and the cage was raised with Jericho screaming to be let out. Foley said he would work on getting the key but in the meantime Jericho would have to try to have a nice day.
After the commercial, Jericho was out of the cage and being give oxygen.
Rusev vs Big Cass
Cass beat Rusev brutally and was quickly disqualified.
Sasha Banks Promo
Banks came to the ring with a knee brace on. She admitted Charlotte was the better woman and asked her to come to the ring so Sasha could congratulate her in person. Nia Jax came out instead. She knocked Sasha down and attacked her injured leg before leaving.
Backstage
Foley presented Sheamus and Cesaro with new tag team belts. Then security came to get Foley because Braun Strowman was tearing the back area apart. Braun demanded Sami Zayn but Foley told him Zayn was not there. Strowman informed Foley that something bad was going to happen.
Noam Dar vs Cedric Alexander
Cedric Alexander defeated Noam Dar by pin fall. After the match, Dar told Alicia Fox, Cedric's girlfriend, that all he wants for Christmas is her.
The New Day and Cesaro and Sheamus vs the Shining Stars and Gallows and Anderson
The New Day talked about losing the belts, saying that not even Ric Flair could be a 16 time World Champion without losing 15 times. Sheamus and Cesaro came out and the two teams traded jibes. Then they were joined by Gallows and Anderson who claimed that Cesaro and Sheamus only won because Gallows and Anderson had beaten down the New Day too much. Then the Shining Stars came out and told everyone to stop fighting and they had a holiday gift for the other three teams. They gave vacation brochures to everyone. Cesaro tore the brochure up and a brawl broke down.
The New Day and Cesaro and Sheamus won by submission.
Enzo and Cass
Enzo received a letter regarding his exposing himself to Lana in November and was ordered to attend mandatory sensitivity training that night. Cass wished him luck and walked off.
Cruiserweight Promo
Neville came out and disowned the fans. He was interrupted by Rich Swann who told Neville that he could never refer to himself as the best as long as Swann was champion. Brian Kendrick came out and told Swann he needed to show Neville respect. Kendrick and Neville beat down on Swann. TJ Perkins came out and tried to help him, but Neville beat him down too. When Neville left, Kendrick hit Perkins with Sliced Bread.
Sensitivity Promo
Enzo was in his sensitivity training but kept acting silly and using his catchphrases in the show, much to the chagrin on the facilitator. This continued in several segments until it ended with Rusev and Jinder Mahal beating Enzo down in the training room.
Sin Cara vs Titus O'Neil
Before this match could get underway, Braun Strowman came to the ring and beat both of them down. Foley tried to stop him but he tore down the stage and left.
Charlotte Promo
Charlotte mocked Sasha Banks for her confrontation with Nia Jax. She claims she beat the boss out of Banks. She said she could have beaten any woman of any generation. She claimed that no one is on her level and was then interrupted by Bayley. Bayley praised Charlotte in the feud with Sasha. But then she suggested the Charlotte and Bayley rivalry should begin. Charlotte told Bayley she was never good enough and Bayley challenged her immediately on Raw. Charlotte whined about how beat up she was after the match last night. Charlotte agreed and asked for a referee.

Bayley defeated Charlotte by pin fall.
Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho
Braun Strowman came to the ring and attacked Reigns, giving him and Rollins the DQ victory. He then attacked Reigns and Rollins as the show went off the air.
