Again, I'll say the problem with this is oversaturation. I mean, back in the 1990s this may have been fine to have this much WWE programming. I mean, between WWF and WCW, WWE programming per week is about the same amount.
But we live in a much different world in 2018 than 1995. Back then, it was nearly impossible to get anything that wasn't WWF or WCW. I got Windy City Wrestling for a while, but programming was inconsistent. So it really was about it unless you joined a tape sharing program.
But now, we have access to so much. We can easily watch all the WWE, Impact, ROH, NJPW, AJPW, Evolve, Dragon Gate, NWA, countless indies, plenty of web ppv promotions... and it just goes on and on. I know for a fact my love of pro wrestling has not decreased at all. I can watch the majority of these other promotions, and I enjoy the hell out of many of them. Hell, I even still enjoy WWE PPVS for the most part. But the weekly shows have just gotten so dreadful and watching five hours of them every week, when they try to stretch out an hour worth of decent material to fill the time, it just makes me thing, "Why am I not watching one of these other promotions tonight instead?"
I've missed quite a few Raws and Smackdowns lately and it's usually because I sleep strangely. However, for the longest time I would force myself to wake up and come out and watch the show. That's getting harder to do because honestly, with the quality of WWE's weekly shows... sleeping is a lot more enjoyable.
