Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Match: The Authors of Pain vs TM61

The AOP won by pin fall and advanced to the second round of the tournament.

Ciampa came to the ring with a crutch while getting heavily booed by the audience. He didn't talk but snatched a poster from a fan and destroyed it in the ring before leaving.

Aleister Black vs Killian Dane

Winner gets a title shot at the NXT Championship. Aleister Black won by pin fall.

This was a really decent show. I really enjoyed the tag match and the main event. I am looking very forward to the title match at NXT. A solid 7

 

[Prince Bálor]

Another good episode of NXT TV. It was good and simply flew by. 7/10

- The AoP vs TM61 was a good show opener for the time given and a good match to kick off the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. I guess I'm a little bit surprised TM61 lost so soon after returning recently, but oh well. Maybe they're setting up a heel turn or maybe they're saving TM61 to be the guys who finally dethrone The Undisputed Era, but I guess we'll see.

- That backstage segment that set up Dunne vs Cole for next week was alright.

- Sanity's promo was alright.

- Bianca Belair squash was alright. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bianca is a star in the making.

- They set up Evans vs Kai for next week and we're also getting Sanity vs Moss & Sabbatelli and Street Profits vs Heavy Machinery.

- Heavy Machinery promo was okay.

- Ciampa segment was good.

- Black vs Dain was a good, but a little bit disappointing ME. I expected it to be a little bit more violent, but oh well. Black won as he should and now he's heading for TakeOver: New Orleans to finally win the NXT title.

Okay...so 2 episodes of NXT in one night...I can handle that...

~ Up first is the opening match in Dusty Rhodes Classic with
the Authors of Pain vs. TM61...
+ Am I the only one who could see the Authors of Pain teaming
with Roman Reigns on the main roster?
+ TM61...despite being Australian...get no special treatment
from me...if fact I find them kind of boring.
+ That apron powerbomb spot was FUCKING insane!
+ And AoP get the victory...and these guys get better every
time I see them. Big, powerful guys who destroy everyone
in their path. I'm sure Vince is a fan.

~ Its Pete Dunne...wearing a scarf?! Well this show gets a
10 out of 10 rating...the only way this could be any better
if he was wearing a turtleneck...

~ SAni†Y stairwell promo...& I just want to cuddle Nikki Cross...
& then she can beat me senseless.

~ Next is Bianca Belair vs. A Jobber? Again? Really?
+ And that was a complete waste of time...Ugh...

~ Lacey Evans promo...Hey WWE...give this woman the Diva
gimmick you're so desperate to use...& hey! Its Shayna Baszler...
who is awesome...& is pretty solid on the mic to.

~ Heavy Machinery promo...OH YEAH!!!

~ Oh look who it is...Its Mr. Dead Eyes...seriously this creeps
me out...& I myself am a Creeper...

Someone show Vince this segment...he may understand the
difference between a heel & babyface after he watches it.

~ Wow...Pete Dunne vs. Adam Cole next week?! Fuck Yes!
Maybe Adam Cole will FINALLY impress me?

~ And now...Aleister Black vs. Killian Dain...2 of my favorite
performers 1 on 1...Hell Yeah!
+ Can I just say both these guys have amazing theme songs...
+ Black maybe the best striker I've ever seen...seriously...
+ Damn Dain can move for a big guy...
+ The crowd doesn't seem very into this match...but it has been
kind of slow...which is a shame...I feel it have been booked more
evenly...maybe allow Black to have more control for certain parts
of the match?
+ BLACK MASS!!! & Black scores the win!!! Kick Almas in the face
& take that title!

All in All...this wasn't the best NXT show I've watched...but its still a
short, sharp, focused blast of high quality wrestling entertainment.

Better than most of smegma the main roster gives us every week.

Oh & FYI...I rated it 10 because of Pete Dunne's scarf.
