2/10. Number one, this was predictable up and down the entire card. Number two, we knew how it was going to end. Number three it only got a 2 because of Strowman's dominating performance in the chamber.

This isn't just because of Reigns, it's because the entire card was predictable. I have been saying for a while now that I have wanted to see the rematch from Wrestlemania 31. It may even be a good match. But it's just predictable crap. And I just can't be happy about that. WWE probably thinks that by having Strowman eliminate everyone other than Roman that they kept fans happy... not really. And now we're going to see Strowman, who deserves to be in the main event picture due to his momentum, kept out for a while.

So yeah, this PPV is a 2.

I haven't had sleep for at least 36 hours, and I'm gonna say my thoughts on this. I am completely fine with Roman winning the match, and I am completely with him facing Brock for the Universal Championship. Though I would have prefered someone like Strowman or Rollins, Reigns works fine for me. I however hate the fans who immediately just shit on everything WWE (this has happened in the past with events like Wrestlemania 33) because Roman wins. (even though this PPV was pretty shite) We get it, you fucks don't want to see Reigns being pushed so hard, we all get it, but it was predictable from the start anyway, and we're going to have to deal with it now. Hate Roman all you want, I don't care, but don't shit on WWE because one guy won a match, and I personally don't like the way Reigns has been booked in general, but I can respect the guy for what he does, and he can put on some amazing matches. In my opinion, Wrestlemania is shaping up to be very good.

Apart from that, the rest of the event was predictable. Women's Elimination Chamber was surprisingly good, Bar vs Titus Worldwide was bad, Asuka vs Nia Jax was average, same goes for Matt vs Bray, almost positive Bray lost because of that shit that came out on him recently. Rousey segment was actually not bad, especially when Trips was put through the table. The men's chamber match saves this PPV from being pretty bad, with Strowman's dominating performance, and the overall quality of wrestling being very good.

Overall - 5.5/10

(also if you were supporting the whole beach ball thing, then you can fuck right off.)

I mean, in one way, I think I was pretty much perfect on the predictions. Except idk if I got the eliminations number in the Women's match. But whatever.

I skipped two matches. The tag title match and the Asuka vs Nia match, so I won't rate. But what I saw was eh. The Women's Chamber didn't add much to the match aside from a couple of cool spots (And Alexa's post-match promo was pure gold) and the men's chamber, Braun's rampage was good, just the ending fell flat and I could hear a pin drop until Braun came in to "send the fans home happy."

If you need to have someone lay someone out not for storyline but to just "send the fans home happy" it's genuinely sad. He's your potential Wrestlemania main event and you can't get a crowd to cheer and be excited about "Your main eventer" it's just depressing. Compared to WM 31, when we all were raging, right now I just feel indifferent. Can it be a good match? Maybe, but idk. Like, the best matches to me are ones where I can either enjoy a story throughout it, have entertaining moments, I can maybe suspend my disbelief or even both. Even if it is a heavy-hitting affair, I can't see myself really getting my mind out of "Roman is going to kick out of an F5, hit multiple superman punches and spears, and win."

And that's the thing, this match was literally planned to happen before Wrestlemania even happened last year. When Goldberg squashed Kevin Owens for the Universal title, the writing was on the wall with Brock beating Goldberg, going on a tear with the belt for a year, and Roman was going to win. You plan that Wrestlemania main event so far in advance that, while for once it is long-term booking, it sometimes can run into a snag and you need to change. Example: Cena vs Rock was long-term. WM 27 Rock costs Cena, WM 28, Rock beats Cena, WM 29, Cena beats Rock. But, they failed to change plans when they developed another star in CM Punk who overnight became a superstar and he was fairly hot popularity-wise until he left WWE and even today people are praying for him to get back in the ring somewhere. This case, Braun has become the guy who has grown into a star.

So, all said and done, I just shrugged at the end of this.

Shrug/10

I want to make something clear before this thread goes down the wrong track. Everyone is free to express their opinions about the show for any reason. Anyone who doesn't like this is free to not read the thread. This thread is about a simple rating of the show, not another Roman Reigns argument thread.

Okay...so I won't get a chance to watch this pay per view till Saturday...but...
I have few comments to make after reading an in-depth summary of the event.

~ The Good Brothers won...Fine...

~ AlexaWinslol

:disapprove:

So I have a question to ask you guys...

So when Charlotte was first brought up to the main roster was her "Push"
as annoyingly dominant as Alexa's has been?

I only ask because I don't have any real perspective on the matter & its no
secret I'm a Charlotte fanboy...but has there ever been another performer
who was pushed this hard after doing nothing really that special in NXT?

I just don't get it...& frankly its making me hate the entire women's division.

(Well apart from NXT ladies...which at the moment are telling an interesting
& compelling story)

I honestly wouldn't have a problem if Alexa could work a solid 1 on 1 match...
but she can't & even the WWE seems to know this by protecting her in
multi-women matches where she simply gets lucky to score the win.

Ugh...

I should be excited about watching this match...but now I know Bliss retains...
I...I really don't care.

Tenille is really better off in the Indies.

~ The Bar retained...couldn't the Revival have been booked in this match instead?

:disapprove:

~ Okay...so Asuka kept her streak alive...as much as I thought they might book a
DQ or count out victory to Nia. I hope Asuka kicks Alexa's fucking head off at
Wrestlemania...unless the WWE continues to protect Bliss by having Charlotte
be the one to put the Empress over.

:disapprove:

~ So can we team up Woken Matt & Bray now & have them play some mind games with the Bar?

~ I won't/don't care about Ronda Rousey until she actually wrestles an actual wrestler...

:disapprove:

~ And the men's elimination chamber match...& it just goes to show how pathetic & desperate
the WWE is. They have Strowman completely dominate the match to make the crowd happy...
only so they can have Reigns wins in the "least" offensive way possible.

:disapprove:

we're going to have to deal with it now.
So you're suggesting we all just smile & fall in line like sheep?

Yeah...I'm not going to be doing that...ever.

He's your potential Wrestlemania main event and you can't get a crowd to cheer and be excited about "Your main eventer" it's just depressing.
And the WWE has no one to blame but themselves & their terrible
past booking decisions. I hate to admit it...but I actually feel sorry
for Roman.

None of this is his fault.

This thread is about a simple rating of the show, not another Roman Reigns argument thread.
Very true...I will behave.

So I will be watching this pay per view for the "Grievous Conversation"
podcast & I guess I'll go more in-depth at that time.

That being said...Predictable Pay Per View is Predictable.

Average PPV

Tag Title match was boring, i don't really care about either team in the match.

Nia Jax and Asuka was good for what it was.. It was better than expected, the aftermath was really entertaining putting Asuka through the barricade.

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt was just fucked up. Every feud Bray Wyatt seems to be in is terrible. Decent match, i just don't get this feud at all.

Ronda's segment was ruined as soon as Triple H and Stephanie walked out, but it's still nice to see Ronda Rousey in WWE.

That's all i've seen so far, I'm sure Reigns won the Elimination Chamber and it was probably a good match.

I had a plan. I'd watch the men's chamber and if Roman won, I'd check back out, throw a 0/10 on this, ignore the rest of the card and maybe pop back up around Mania time. If someone else did, the show gets a 10/10 for having an all-time great moment and I was going to go back and cheer every cool move in the rest of the matches and probably check out Raw. I'd be a huge fanboy but not quite big enough to watch Smackdown.

So see y'all around the traps

  • Womens' chamber match was enjoyable, surprisingly. Bayley actually felt relevant, which really warms my heart. Spots were great. I'm honestly starting to like Sonya Deville. Mickie James' attire looked really good. Sorry for all the pain you're currently going through, Grievous.
  • Tag title match was a solid "okay". Not good, not bad, just tolerable. Felt like a TV quality normal match. This did make me interested in seeing a singles match between Sheamus and Apollo, however. Sheamus playing with the crowd after slipping while climbing to the top turnbuckle was really funny.
  • Nia Jax vs. Asuka was good, just not as much as their match on RAW with the injury angle. I don't like how they had Nia do the same thing as Braun tonight with the bitter loser thing. I'd rather Asuka have gotten the sneaky pin then escape before Nia could get her hands on her again. Is there a week that goes by where Asuka doesn't get beaten up by Nia? And can we please give Nia a manager so she stops having to talk? Her voice goes about as well with her character as ketchup does with milk.
  • I skipped through almost all of the Ronda stuff since I don't personally care much. Ronda getting to slam Triple H through a table was cool. Ronda getting bitch slapped by Stephanie and doing fuck all about it makes no sense seeing how she literally just dropped the much more intimidating Triple H like a sack of potatoes. Is there anyone Stephanie doesn't get to slap for fun and get away with it? Can we please take her off TV forever after WrestleMania? She isn't Vince McMahon, she'll never be as over nor as entertaining as Vince, and every second she's credited for women's revolution evolution makes me die a little inside.
  • Hardy vs. Wyatt was meh. Wyatt getting creeped out by Hardy was interesting to an extent, but the wrestling didn't do much for me. Too slow and too many attempts at the Twist of Fate.
  • Main event was good up until the ending which left be really confused. What's the point in feeding those five guys to Braun if you don't go all the way with him? This isn't so much a Reigns issue as it is a booking issue. When you have this man throw around all your top guys like rag dolls, kickout of one thousand finishers, then have him get pinned only to immediately get up and shit all over your chosen winner...it just doesn't make sense to me. How does Reigns look good going into his match with Lesnar if he's seeing stars while Braun is standing tall? And who can realistically stand up to Braun one on one? I can't see anyone being a credible threat to him anymore. Right now the person challenging the champion has less credibility and less buzz than the loser of the match. How on earth is that good for the main event of WrestleMania?

6/10. Could've been much better, though I enjoyed it at times. WrestleMania isn't looking all that great this year.

...but has there ever been another performer
who was pushed this hard after doing nothing really that special in NXT?
None that I can think of. Closest that comes to mind is Becky since she (from what I can remember) only had two standout NXT matches, those being the four-way and the singles match against Sasha. Nia seemed at least somewhat special during her NXT days, though I suppose you can make a case for her as well since she didn't accomplish much in NXT just like Becky.

Bayley actually felt relevant, which really warms my heart.
This is the same Bayley who wouldn't use a kendo stick in a kendo stick
match & was recently pinned by Lana right? You know...Short Bus Bayley
who is basically now just a pathetic version of Allie from Impact.

In fact the WWE should just release Bayley & sign Allie at this point...Allie
would have a better chance of getting a push...

*Checks*

Oh wait...scratch that idea...Allie is Canadian so she has no chance.

Sorry for all the pain you're currently going through, Grievous.
I wouldn't call it pain...I would call it disappointment...

Nia Jax vs. Rumor is Nia is playing the "I'm only putting people over now if I get the last shot in"
card hence why she wasn't in the Chamber because she didn't want to put Sasha
over again.

Nia needs to go back to NXT...or honestly...they should just release her at this point.

Seriously...besides her size what does she actually bring to the division?

I'd say...NOTHING!!!

It doesn't really matter how much Nia beats on Asuka...she's the one getting a title
match at Wrestlemania.

*Thinks*

They're going to have Asuka ask to have Nia booked in her Wrestlemania title match
like she did at that TakeOver: San Antonio with Nikki, Peyton & Billie aren't they?

Please don't make Asuka look stupid WWE! I'm begging you!

You ruined Bayley, you "use" Sasha & ignore Becky...but please don't book Asuka to be stupid.

Closest that comes to mind is Becky since she (from what I can remember) only had two standout NXT matches, those being the four-way and the singles match against Sasha.
Yeah...but Becky has never had a decent push at all...
in either NXT or the main roster.

Nia seemed at least somewhat special during her NXT days, though I suppose you can make a case for her as well since she didn't accomplish much in NXT just like Becky.
Height & Weight can only make you look special for so long...eventually
you have to actually become a half decent worker...just like Strowman
did...& don't compare Nia to Becky...Becky can at least work a good
match.

Main event was good up until the ending which left be really confused. What's the point in feeding those five guys to Braun if you don't go all the way with him? This isn't so much a Reigns issue as it is a booking issue. I can't see anyone being a credible threat to him anymore. Right now the person challenging the champion has less credibility and less buzz than the loser of the match. How on earth is that good for the main event of WrestleMania?
Its the WWE trying to placate the fans by letting Strowman look the strongest in
the match while actually giving the result to the Plank of Wood. Its basically the
WWE begging the fans:

"Please cheer! Look...the guy you like is on a rampage! Cheer! Yay! Oh look
OUR guy actually won the match...but don't worry about that...look at Strowman!
Yay!"

And frankly its fucking pathetic & this entire Reigns situation makes the entire wrestling
industry look like it has no idea what it is doing.

I hope the crowd literally drowns the Lesnar/Plank of Wood match in boos at Wrestlemania...
just like they did at Wrestlemania 32 with Triple H vs. Plank of Wood.
