I did not enjoy this episode at all, I think it was the worst week of AEW yet

The first hour was such an unbearable slog, squash after squash, rambling promo after rambling promo, and a botch filled tag match with Marko screwing up every other move

The MJF and Jericho promo, I'll be honest, I didn't like it. Nothing was said. MJF did the generic, "Ooh, good guy is bad guy" schtic I've heard 7000 times, and we almost got gold with MJF vs Jericho, but then they started teasing MJF in Inner Circle, which I'll be frank sounds absolutely awful. I don't want him anywhere near Inner Circle, because they don't mesh at all. MJF's thing is he want to be the top guy NOW, Inner Circle is you work for Jericho and makes you a top guy LATER. If MJF bitches down to Jericho out of an empty promise, he's an idiot. If Jericho bends down to make MJF a top guy, then he loses his badass status. They're a bad alliance. The Cody running down bit was whatever, it was just a generic fight honestly

Awesome Kong was a pervert again, whatever, that gimmick is a miss for me

Pac vs Page, whatever, it was Pac vs Page. Basically the same match they had last week, and Pac did that dumb "Hold sub after match thing" that I hate. Nothing makes a referee look worse than showing that they can't do anything

The main event was good I guess, it was okay, nothing special. Jericho losing his giant winning streak to a roll up was pretty dumb, but I guess you can't really punk out Sammy again. I'm glad that the Tag Team Champions beat the singles guys in a Tag Team match, since it put them on a higher level, but like, I don't know, feels a bit anti climatic to just give away Jericho's first loss like that

AEW had a bad show this week in my eyes, but honestly, that's fine. Nobody bats perfectly. I can't watch WWE, even the good ones like NXT, without feeling like a cheap hooker. AEW 4 Life baybay

Oh...I see...

Well...I guess I am still in that "phase" where the AEW can do no wrong in my eyes.

I mean there are "elements" of their product I don't like (the current Brandi/Kong angle,
The Dark Order, the repeated Pac/Page matches, their lack of focus for the women's
division, Nyla Rose) but none of those elements are enough to really annoy me to the
point where I dislike the show itself.

Frankly I just find it refreshing to watch a wrestling show that doesn't drive me to feel
anger, frustration & eventual misery.

Thankfully I've never watched any wrestling that has made me feel like "cheap hooker"

AEW is far from perfect...but its the wrestling I'd prefer to spend my time watching.

@Grievous 3D I'm curious, your thoughts on the backstage interviewer Jenn Sterger? I know her from stuff before AEW and while I still dislike AEW for multiple reasons, I still think she was a great pull for the company.

Random Explosive Thoughts:
~ Its great to hear Tony back...
~ Omega is hurt...which makes sense...
~ Good to see Moxley building more momentum...a quick win & a great
promo from Mox...you can just tell he's loving his work again...
~ I still don't get the Dark Order...
~ Jungle Boy is an amazing talent...
~ I thought Evil Uno would have a deeper voice...
~ LUCHASAURUS IS BACK!!! ROAR!!!

~ Darby Allin is so great to watch...I really like the guy...
~ Spears/Janela are still at it...
~ Darby gets the win...and a match with Moxley for next week...Hell Yeah!
~ I still don't "get" Nyla Rose...
~ ALLIE! YAY!
~ I really do not care about this Brandi/Kong "angle" & I hope to God Kong
doesn't take the women's title from Riho. Look...I respect Kong...but she is
well past her prime...
~ So Jericho & MJF showed how to cut a proper promo...Excellent work
from both guys...although I don't want to see MJF in the Inner Circle...
~ Cody didn't look well...
~ And no one really cared about Wardlow...& I'm concerned about this
entire situation. I don't think MJF needs a "Heavy" especially since Jericho
is already playing that card with Hager in his corner...
~ And Cody looked even worse after this was all said & done...
~ This was the best Pac/Page match so far...and I do hope it is the last...
And Pac gets the win...in a very ruthless fashion...which I like.
~ The Young Bucks/Santana & Ortiz brawl was good fun...& the Private
Party/Santana & Ortiz match for next week should be great...
~ And the main event seemed rushed...but it was still a solid match...
& SCU retained with Scorpio Sky looking incredibly strong in the ring
& J.R has been doing a great job putting him over on commentary.

Look...I know AEW isn't perfect...and I do have my issues with it...BUT...
I enjoy watching it. I doesn't make me feel angry, frustrated or annoyed
& it just seems more like a wrestling show than some kind of pathetic
(& poorly written) soap opera.

I'm just glad AEW is there for wrestling fans who want an alternative.
