Ok seriously is it just me or is Randy Orton confusing everyone else as to if he is a good guy, a bad guy or a half half tweener thing.

First: Randy Orton came back from Injury as a tweener, he was on Raw saying that he should be the champ and badmouthing all the current champions of raw the faces and the heels making him dislike both sides making him tweener.

Then: Randy Orton at No Mercy kicked CM Punk in the side of the head giving him a concussion and taking him out of the scramble match moving in my eyes from a tweener to a cold blooded Heel.

Later on: Randy Orton started to call out Mike Adamle and tell him off and since Adamle is a tweener himself this kindof confused me as to what Randy was playing in these few weeks. Saying that no one can touch him and things like that with Adamle.

And then: Randy Orton went on to start having promo's with Shane McMahon who is playing Face with Stephanie, and that makes Randy a heel too because he is 'disagreeing' with a face and demanding a shot at the gold or whatever I don't remember.

And now: On this past week on Raw Randy Orton had gone back to the Tweener / Face route when he came down to the ring and claimed he isn't leaving the ring until either Adamle who is half heel half tweener at times. Either Adamle leaves or Orton does putting an ultminatum. By the end of the night Adamle did leave his spot as GM and Orton for the first half of the show was face...then Shane wen't on to confront Orton and say that he spoke to Randy's doctors and apparently he has been cleared for weeks to wrestle and just been refusing not to tell anyone. With that move he had gone back to Heel I think.

Seriously I don't quite get all of this or where they are going with Orton at the moment. Sure it is keeping my interseted and it is part of why I am watching Raw weekly but I am having a hard time following it. What about you?

I see Orton as a Heel. I think what the E is trying to do is really make Orton the top heel in the company. The kick to Dibiase last night was just to show that he's a heel with a mission and that he needs other heels in line backing him up WHEN he says so and if you're not gonna follow his lead he'll kick your ass. I kinda like it this way. I never saw him as a tweener as you did because I always look at him as just in his own category. He's a heel with no REAL alliances (no need as evidence by last night) but he wants heels on his side when SAYS (as evidenced by the convo in the back area with Cody and the Samoan dude). I'm liking all of this recent activity on Raw. I've always said that the product will grow as it becomes less predictable. Good to know that its working on some fans.

He is a loner heel. Like a guy who is just evil, and will not have any allainces. So, like last night for example, he will kick Dibiase, who is a heel, but still be a heel. He's just kinda like HHH was in the early 2000's. Sometimes does some face-ish things, but is a heel still.

^^Isn't that the definition of a tweener? A heel who does face-ish things, or vice versa?

He's a tweener, and doing a great job. It adds a great air of unpredictability to Orton's character. Most of the time, heels won't touch other heels, who saw Orton's punt to DiBiase coming? Nobody. And it fits his character perfectly. Unstable, sadistic, focused on the championship and that's all. I'm loving Orton right now, you can never really tell what he's going to do.

You honestly can't tell? This has to be a joke. Orton is heel. Him and Priceless will join up. Until then, he's giving them tough love.

As far as Adamle goes, he was neither heel, nor face as GM. He didn't play favourite. He was a gimmickless character. If he was a heel, what exectly made him a heel? The reason you're confused is because you're assuming things on your own.

This is extremely interesting in my opinion. It could be that we are witnessing an evolution of characters in pro wrestling.

For years everyone was a face or a heel. Then Austin came alone and revolutionized the industry as a tweener.

Now, we have Orton seemingly stuck in limbo. He displays heel tendencies, but he attacks everyone. Is it on accident? Is it an experiment? Its hard to say at this point. But right now, one thing is obvious. We have a wrestler who manages to get face pops by attacking heels and heel heat by attacking faces. Could it be that the WWE is trying to develop a character who can alternate consistently between face and heel depending on who he is feuding with?

Imagine the possibilities. One month, we could have Orton feuding with Batista and getting booed. Then the next, without completely altering his character, we could have Orton feud with JBL and get cheered in the process.

I'm not sure if this would work, or even be logical, but it works with Orton's character.

Good points. And the whole idea of how you described it, with various feuds against heels and faces sounds pretty awesome. I think that is kinda what wwe is going for, but it won't be to that extent for a while. Like I said, he's just kinda a "bad ass" who turns on basically anyyone, and does things his own way, and if it lets him get cheered, then that's fine and if he gets booed, then that's fine too.

I really like where they are going with his character though, and they are really building him up like the show revolves around him.

^Nope, he said it was cause Dibiase interfered in his match, when he was about to finish off Punk.
