Nothing will happen at all, just a minor gaff. But it's weird, like someone said, just how brazen Randy was about it. Like he didn't seem to care he was even on camera. It's easy to wonder if there's something going on with him.

Orton's scripted character right now is a shell of former self. I have no problem with him not caring to really learn his lines maybe he'll be allowed to be more like himself again.

He barely ever cuts a promo these days and has probably lost skill with it. That's why I don't like how some guys can go months without even saying a peep then they are shoved out there and bomb.

That's the first promo from Randy I've seen in fucking months.

Didn't realise how blatant it was when I first watched it. Can clearly see him say "What's my line" three times. He is lucky that Sheamus memorised Orton's lines as well as his own to carry him through that segment. As someone else said it is worse than Maddox screwing up his lines since Orton is a vet. Not a big deal in the big picture though, just made him look a bit foolish.

Randy's been on TV 11 years ... He should be able to go weeks, months even without saying anything and still being able to cut a promo. Hell it wasnt even a long 10 minute promo the likes Trips or Taker or told to cut after a year off from screens

It was more than a small mishap it was an entire career burial, I mean how on earth is going to recover from such a huge deal!?
Was kind of more than a small mishap since it such a awkward moment for such a simple line that if nothing else you should be able to improvise on. Not a huge deal or anything like you were being sarcastic about but it is pretty funny and mind boggling to see a decade plus vet have to ask someone else what his line is on live T.V.

Professional actors in TV and movies forget their shit every so often. And they're paid to do that, not rassle on top of learn lines. Being a top guy, I'm sure anything that's done wrong becomes ammo for the next guy wanting a shot to point at as a reason for them to try someone else instead of Randy. He probably got a stern talk that night, but in the grand scheme of things, I doubt it kills his career if it's a one-off goof. Wrestlers botch moves in the ring, not sure why forgetting a line on camera would kill a top veteran's career any more than that sort of thing.

Call it what you want, but it was a minor mishap and nothing more. What I find hilarious the most though is that everyone who is making an issue out of this, not a single person commented on here at least at the time so it obviously wasn't that bad, but since someone picked up on it on the IWC and put it on Youtube it's suddenly spread like wildfire and is becoming an issue.

People forget lines, people botch moves and commentators call the wrong moves from time to time, shit happens.

lol, theres always something going on with the guy.

Shitting in divas bags, busted with weed, getting caught juicing, etc etc etc.

Not exactly the model pro, more of a loose cannon. (not a blast, btw, I enjoy his work)

This is why they need to bring back backstage interviews and pretaped promos for some of these guys. Less in ring promos.

The forget my line part wasn't noticed at first but obviously people were wondering what the hell was going on with him stopping all of a sudden during the promo (did get brought up in the Raw thread)

His problem is that WWE is too in love with being scripted. If he was taught in the last 10 years to do his own promos, he could have, and would have been able to cover that up so much better. Jericho had to do his own promos without a script and that's probably why you never see him mess up, and people consider him one of the greats.

Sure, Orton messed up, but if anything, I think the saddest part is he is the veteran, and had to ask a relatively new guy what to do. If anything, it made Sheamus look better, and more reliable.

Come on, as if it was an accident. His character's gotten stale and they're obviously taking him in a new direction with an incompetent, unprofessional guy gimmick. Mark my words, there'll be "What's My Line?" and "Has anybody got a cigarette?" Randy Orton t-shirts on WWEShop.com before the month is out. I think they've booked it really well, it's genius.

He has been in the business for over a decade, even if all his promos have been scripted he should have known how to improvise something with the experience he has. Watching him that night on RAW he just looked like he didn't care, especially when that crowd was ignoring their match. Not sure if it is deliberate for the character or just Orton going through the motions but he does seem disinterested having done nothing of note for a long time.

Very true that it did make Sheamus look good out there to know not only his own lines but Orton's as well.
