The thread title is pretty simple, this thread is for posting a collection of interesting/funny/cool wrestling stories from the past, either from written articles, interviews, or those that have gone down in wrestling lore.

I'll start with a big one:

On July 4th, 2000, Bam Bam Bigelow rushed into a burning house to rescue three children from the carnage. Bigelow explained in later interviews that he literally jumped through 2x4 and plaster walls in order to get to the kids. He received 2nd degree burns on 40% of his body and spent 10 days in the hospital before going back to wrestling.

Another story involving Shawn Daivari

Final Story on this post:
In 1984, Akio Saito and Ken Patera were driving late at night in Wisconsin on their way to a Minneapolis show, and stopped at a McDonald's that was closing that night. They were refused service on the grounds that the restaurant had already closed and didn't have any prepared food ready to give. Patera, in a fit of frustration, threw a rock into the window of the McDonald's. When cops arrived to arrest Saito and Patera, a fight broke out. 14 cops and a deputy sheriff later, both were arrested and would eventually go to prison for the fracas.

I am just going to share one of my stories.

During the Big Show's run as champion of WWECW, they held a show in racine. They took all weapons and stuff at the doors but I had a foot injury at the time, so I was allowed to walk in with a cane lol.

Samu and Tommy Dreamer were there, smoking pot by the lake.

But what I loved the most was Balls Mahoney. He spent so much time with the fans, talking with absolutely everyone who wanted to chat with him. During the show, the Big Show put his opponent through a table. Balls stayed behind and signed pieces of the table for all the fans who remained.

Balls wasn't that special of a wrestler. But he was an A+ guy all the way. RIP
