Random question: Are any of you adept at breaking codes?

For the record, I may try something. Fact is, I really know nothing about breaking codes, and I felt literally lost when you guys were debating earlier. Plus I don't have much time until April.

The good news is that there is a companion book. I just went out and bought it and it shows you how to encrypt/decrypt the different types of codes found in the book. That makes it sound really simple but it really isn't. It just makes it go from fiendishly difficult to insanely difficult.

Couple questions; what the fuck is the deal with the books? Do you buy an area-specific book for the silver eagle you're hunting? Or do you buy a book which could lead you to all of them but only unlock and find one?

When I looked at the site, it confused the Hell out of me because it seems like it's only one main book... but you're saying the book has all 12 chapters...




Anyways, the "beneath the rose" is a tough one, but I'm almost positive it's mirror.

It has everything you need to enter and play including all chapters. Do not buy a used copy though. Each one has a unique code in the back required to log onto the site and participate.

The second one is a book that illustrates all the different types of codes used as well as how to break them.

Finished the 1st 8 chapters, 4 left now. Taking a break though because the amount of work I've put in has been ridiculous but it's starting to come together.

I feel like I almost have the first eagle found but I can't make any sense of the last clue that will tell me the final code.
