Former WWE developmental wrestler Mike Taylor (who also wrestled as Micah Taylor), and whose birth name was Mike Sharrer, passed away on 9/12 at the age of 47. A native of Kaneohe, Hawaii, he started on Hawaii independents in 2001 and wrestled in WWE developmental from 2003 to 2007. He listed Rip Rogers, Nick Dinsmore and Lance Storm as his primary trainers and also took a nickname from Terry Taylor as The Taylor-Made Man. His wife, who went by the name Tracy Taylor, also wrestled as was his manager. Their daughter wrestles under the name Twisted Trixie. He worked for a ton of different indies including OVW and Deep South as WWE developmental territories as well as Zero-1 in Japan, where under the name Sandy Beach, he held their United National title in 2008 feuding with Yoshihito Sasaki. He and brother Brett Taylor were a tag team called Taylor Made. Mike Mondo, who knew him from WWE developmental, wrote, “This one isn’t easy. Still doing my best to process this. Mike Taylor was the first friend I made in OVW which carried over into a close friendship/brotherhood for the next 20+ years. We were just texting a couple weeks ago. You always looked and treated me like your younger brother. You’ve always had a huge heart. I’m grateful for all the great times we had in Louisville & of course the countless shoots on the west coast doing mocap. Those memories will last forever. I pray for Mikes family during this difficult time especially his kids Isaiah & Mina. I love you Big Mike. A-team for life. RIP buddy.” He is believed to have last wrestled in early 2022
