That's only for the first two weeks for an artificial rating, I'm thinking more the first 3 months, especially the non-touring shows. Again I don't think they need it, the brand is hot and I think the move will only make them hotter without Ricky tho

I love Ricky but he’s been off tv forever and was midcard to upper mid in AEW he isn’t gonna be a ratings needle mover regardless

I don't think NXT needs the star power at all for the CW tbh, I think they're going to do great numbers there as is. If the think they do, then that would be be the only acceptable reason even if I don't agree

CW is paying a ton of money to WWE for NXT. They're gonna want some people with name recognition on the show. Whether that's Ricky Starks or not I don't know.

Remember Kevin Owens debuted in NXT, won the Championship, was there for like 6 months or so and then went to Raw. I could see something like that potentially for someone like Ricky.

I'd again argue that's not a NEED for CW, but I can see why they would think it is. I'd be a little shocked if they thought Ricky was that name tho yeah.

And yes I remember Kevin Owens, I don't think it compares to Ricky. KO debuted with everyone saying he was too fat, would never make it in WWE bc of his look and Trips just strapped a rocket on him and then he won over Vince. Ricky is coming in with the hype that he's a big star perceived as being handled badly by AEW.

Those guys had to debut in NXT 10 years ago because HHH was building his little ROH away from Vince.

There's no NEED here at all for either side to me though, Ricky does not need NXT and NXT does not need him. I don't think an NXT run would be bad at all, just odd and I'm way more interested in a main roster run which I can't predict as opposed to a good NXT run that I think I can predict

I do not think they do. Trick Williams is a bigger star than Ricky Starks and he has a cast to build around him already. CW should be the Trick Williams channel. Ricky would be another Ethan Page run (which is not shade, I like it)

Like just to add, neither Giulia or Stephanie NEED NXT that much either outside of maybe using it to get used to the country, but I never second guessed why they would go there. I think it's a better fit roster wise for them and HBK books women better than HHH at the moment (same with tags but that seems to be turning around). My issue isn't really that Ricky doesn't need NXT (he doesn't but I support others going there that don't), it's that I think the main roster actually could use him starting as a midcarder

That I'm almost certain won't happen bc of the contract stuff you mentioned before. Obviously we don't know when it's up but I think we will know bc more stories will pop up and that just seems too soon now unless the stuff you posted recently is the start of those
