I had no problem with it. I guarantee that Jerry said "Sure, we can do it". Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if he's the one that said "Hey, we should use this in a storyline". Most of us have been with Jerry during his entire time announcing, some of his time wrestling. If it was going to get a reaction from the crowd, he'd do it.

He even made a joke about himself and the ambulance whenever Brad Maddox was coming out and the ambulance was backing in.
