So CM Punk has officially moved to Raw and he still holds the MITB briefcase.

Are we to beleive that Punk will cash in his contract and win a world title this year?

I really don't see that happening. A title win, let alone a title shot, is a pipe dream on Raw. There are too many legit main eventers in front of him right now and I just can't fathom him beating Cena, Batista, Orton, Mysterio, or even Jericho.

Punk has yet to prove himself on one of the big brands and it will take a lot of build up to get him to main event level. If they throw him in there against an Orton or Cena and he wins it will look like a joke.

I also don't see him switching brands to chase a title. Going back for the ECW title would be a downgrade and on SD he has Edge and HHH in the way.

It looks as though Punk is destined to be the first MITB winner to lose his match.

I want him to cash it in, btu I dont see it happening. IDK, they just seem resistent to push him. Hes capable IMO, and they need him for the future, but they just need to find a way to push him, and thats why i wanted him on SD. But sadly, I see him dropping it soon.

Punk/Orton rivalry= MONEY. I guess that kinda loses to your post though, that he isn't built up. I think he's plentiful built up. He was a main-eventer on ECW. The crowd loves him! Let him wrestle Jericho or Cade. Then move on up to Orton.

Punk will actually be the 2nd to lose his MITB contract....Kennedy lost his last year when they thought he had torn a muscle...then it turned out he would miss a couple weeks , but yeah, Punk will probably lose his MITB.

Raw Main eventers: Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Batista, Shawn Michaels, just a couple of the top of my head

Punk may have been a big fish in a little pond on ECW, but Raw is a WHOLE different ball game.

i dunno, lets say Orton or Y2J(he's jericho, so he won't win the belt, just wishful thinking)....


or they could roll with that whole CMPunk/JohnCena heel tandom(I heard about it in that rumors-section) and Maybe like...CM Punk could cash in on some Major-Major-MAJOR Face of the Company...

basically like how Edge went from some guy that'll have a good match here and there, but was an afterthought....to finally being that RandomAsshole Douche-bag that snuck-in and cashed his briefcase in so as to become champion in a gay-way...I dunno, I don't play EWR...so like...

Punk hopefully will cash it in soon. i would like to see him cash it in as Night of champions. it would be good for him to be the Raw champion as the raw title is considered the best.

He didn't say contract, he said match. You kn ow Punk cashes in, then loses.



He was runner-up in the KOTR tournament, in which he cleanly beat Jericho. He won the freaking MITB match! How is he not built up enough? Even if he's not, CM Punk has another 9 months to be built up before he has to cash it in, so I'm quite sure they can easily build him up in time.

Punk hasn't been built up at all since he won the Money in the bank, and I don't think WWE has any plans to give him the belt. My question is, why go through the trouble of making him MITB if you aren't even going to give him a World Title run, why not just put the MITB on someone else that will actually win a World Title?
